Random hospital (via ambulance) admittance and Class 1

Dear All,

I am a wannabee pilot, was just wondering if one incident would hold me back getting a class 1 medical. 3 years ago when I was 17, in one single episode I got the most awful stomach ache and it got quickly worse, started shaking intensely, sweating etc. I was pretty sure something was up with my appendix. We were on holiday (in UK-home) and we decided after I was in quite a bad way to call an ambulance. The ambulance came, gave me morfine, the pain went and I went to hospital. In hospital I had a load of tests, nothing seemed wrong. I can remember the doctor saying I was free to go after about 2hrs in hospital and put it down to 'part of growing up'. I have never experienced anything like this since. Somewhat embarassingly I think was probably a bad case of trapped wind, or some bad food poisoning.

Will this rather dramatic episode mean that I can't get a class 1? (the fact that I was rushed to hospital, unexplainable circumstances?) Other than this I am fit and healthy.

Thank you all,

Wouldn't think there'd be an issue.

I'm surprised you'd even remember such a short incident so many years ago.

No because the CAA are interested in the pathology

there was none

so there is no problem

PS dont swtart guessing what is wrong - the CAA Cmay believe you!
