Class 2 medical questions. . .

Hi all,

Just a quicky - can somebody please tell me how much a CAA Class 2 medical costs and what the waiting time/availability is like?

Just planning a PPL with Anglo American Aviation and totaling costs etc.

Thanks in advance,

Ed.

I think the cost varies with each AME, but I had to pay £156 for the experience.

Its usually more than the cost of one flying lesson and less than two, so its between £100 and £200.

Best of luck at Anglo American.

Mine, with ECG, with Dr.Lunn in Lincolnshire cost 75 GBP, and he signed off my FAA ticket at the same time in that price. However, the guy who interpretes the ECG (it has to be sent off to a consultant) also sent me a bill, for 25 quid.

How stringent is a class 2 medical?

Try Dr Anderson in Milton Keynes (Bletchley) - £50 inc ECG last year.
