Singulair (Montelukast) and the Class 1

Is there anyone flying while using this type of medication ?

My GP has suggested I try a course of tablets but I would like to know if anyone has had any experience of it before I make a decision ?

Be worth checkin' with the CAA.

It does seem to work well, but they're are alternatives.

I will be checking with the CAA but thought I would seek a "second opinion" from pruners as well. :ok:

I had a trial of Singulair a few years back, before I started flying. It did nothing for me - nothing good and nothing bad. I've heard that for approx. 1/3 asthmatics it is very effective, it helps another 1/3 and makes no difference to the final 1/3. An aquaintance is in the first group - she has a massive peak flow and AFAIK it's now the only medication she takes.

Hi All,
I recently had an adverse reaction to this medication. I recommend that before you take it you become familiar with the potential side effects, especially the mood disorder list.
