Polarized Sunglasses Vs. Computer Vision Syndrome
I am just thinking, would it be beneficial to put on Polarized Sunglasses in front of the Computer to eliminate pro-longed exposure to Glare and Radiation from the Monitor?
Since Polarized Glasses Cut-Off the UV from the Monitor, just wondering if it helps in reducing eyestrain for Prolonged computer usage. |
Sorry, in all likelihood I don't think it would be a very good solution.
Any UV from a CRT (if any is produced at all given the relatively low electron energy) would be blocked by the glass screen, and LCDs don't emit UV light anyway. I wouldn't worry, to be honest. Polarising sunglasses on an LCD will either make no difference or blank out the screen entirely, and you can reduce glare from a CRT display with normal sunglasses if you really want to. |
