Medical question
I will hopefully be starting my PPL soon and know I will have to have a medical. I was told to get a full ATPL medical should I want to pursue flying as a career. I am in my twenties and have a slight form of arthiritis in my hip. It is under control and pain free while I am exercising and taking medication occaisionally. What I want to know is is this something that could disqualify me from a career in flying?? Thanks.

is the link to the JAA-FCL3 Manual of Civil Aviation Medicine. Chapter 10 is musculoskeletal, so then go to hip joint. You can see what it says - seems at least encouraging? Good luck! :) C |
Thanks mate that's really helpful. :)
