Class II medicals

Hey all
I have an FAA medical and need to get my JAA medical done. I've been told by a doctor here in the south west that I need to go to Gatwick for my first one. Is that right.

Class 1 medicals (1st time) have to be done at Gatwick.

The CAA website has all the details. Subsequent medicals can be taken at a local AME, subject to them holding the qualification to issue renewed Calls 1 medicals

Class II medicals don't need to be done at Gatwick - use a local AME - details again on CAA website!
