Catarrh
As a non-smoker with no medical problems (but did get Bronchitis 5 years ago) and on no medication I seem to wake up each morning with a build up of catarrh and thus need to spend a while trying to bring it up throughout the morning.
This lasts a while in the morning but then clears up later in the day (after a time spent spitting it out on regular intervals). Any advice/causes? Could it be the dust from the carpet in the house? The city air? Would an air purifyer/ioniser be any good? Ta M. Yoda :yuk: |
Runny Nose
I had suffered from a similar problem for a few years, a runny nose when I first get up which lasts about a half hour. Didn't always happen though.
Local GP diagnosed it as an allergy to house mite dust and prescribed me a nasal spray called "Becanase". That was a steroid based spray. Only use it occasionally now as the problem seems to have largely subsided. It could be that my frequent house moves have simply put me in a less dusty environment. I would always suggest a visit to the GP - and make sure he knows you fly and that anything prescribed won't affect you. DGG |
