JAA Medicals

Does anyone know if a German JAA medical would be valid in Spain for a Modular ATPL Course?

I'd have thought so, I thought that was the point of them being JAA rather than a national thing...it'd be recognised throughout all of Europe.

Unless anyone else knows differently? :confused:
