Hi all,

I currently have a case against CASA in the AAT, to appeal their decision of refusing a Class 2 medical.
We are set to go to hearing later this year.

The issue stems from a single episode of drug induced mania in 2018, CASA believes this has unearthed underlying Bipolar Affective Disorder, which is not the view of the many psychiatrists and medical professionals I've seen over the past 6 years. I'm not on any medication, haven't have any symptoms, and continue to operate around aircraft (just not flying them) on a near daily basis.
I was a Skydive Pilot (C208), and Tandem Instructor (Skydive) prior to the events of 2018.

I believe I have a strong case and CASA's defense doesn't seem very strong from what they've shown within the AAT framework to date.
But, the costs of getting to hearing with lawyers etc are exceeding what is possible, and I'm facing the prospect of having to withdraw the appeal or self represent.

My question for you is ;
1. Do you know of any organisations or influential individuals who might offer sponsorship, grants, or funding to support my case against CASA?
I've been advised to try reach out to prominent aviation figures who might have an interest in the case, such as Dick Smith.

2. Any lawyers who might have an interest in the case?

Any further leads on the above would be greatly appreciated.
