Hip 'issues'. Q's to ask?

After 2 years f4rting about with different exercises following 2 slipped/burst discs and a Spondi-whatsit (vertebra knocked out of alignment) I've just seen a new physio who pointed out that my right hip looks a bit shagged out, to use their terminology.
I'm off for an X-ray next week and then a consult so I'm wondering if there are any good questions I ought to be asking or whether anyone here has some up-to-date info that I should be reading. I've gone through the search function on here but I assume technology has moved on in this field in recent times.

I have some reduction in the range of movement plus a lot of Sciatic pain that has existed ever since my original back injury several years ago. I've only just returned to work after 10 months off.
