Discreet Medical PA's
As a way of maintaining decorum amongst the cabin possibly following an inflight medical emergency, I vaguely recall a little tip passed to me some years ago regarding a discreet way of putting out a PA for a medical examiner or A&E personnel, that wouldn't unnecessarily draw attention to the situation
I've been thinking about this recently following just such an occasion & trying to recall the handy hint, so if anyone is aware of the phrase / qualification to ask for then I would be very grateful for their help
Kind regards
PS. while I'm on the subject, I think there is a similar call for a Bomb Disposal expert. Obviously I'm hoping this would never arrise, but it pays to be prepared - thanks again

TTP,
You may well be able to think off a clever way of addressing the medical folk but will they get the message?
Best to be open about it and explain what you want, most likely to get the desired effect.
After spending an inordinate amount of time on long haul flights 'working' rather than being able to slouch out I think that in future I will just take the patients details and send them a bill.
Doing the samaritans' thing for those that really need attention is one thing, being expected to be on tap for those where it was clear from the outset that they should not have gone is another matter.

1.) "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the captain speaking. We have a medical case on board that needs attention. If there are any doctors and/or nurses on board, would you please inform the cabin crew. We might request/(require) your assistance. Thank you..."
2.) "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is... . We have a technical problem at the moment which requires us to land at the nearest suitable airport. We expect to land in xx minutes and we shall give you futher information shortly. In the mean time please follow the Cabin Chief's orders". (Once we have landed... ) (follow your checklist) and have at least one pilot wear an OXY mask (one never knows what they pack in bombs these days with regards to chemicals etc.)
