So Kevin wants to be head of the UN....the man has no limits.

Stanwell 17th Jul 2016 23:53

Aw, c'mon, SOPS...
If Tony Blair can score a gig as Middle East Peace Envoy and then push in line for the spot as Brexit negotiator, then surely
there's gotta be room for a talented snout like Kevin's in some trough somewhere.
They're both proven performers in everything they've done, don'tcha see?

...somewhat less than insightful.
Yeah, it were a bit of stating the bleeding obvious that turnBull is the best One Nation recruiter going.
Although, the Libs dont seem to know it...

Well Binghi,
Please let's go back to post #'675 and ... where do we go from there?

On eyre 18th Jul 2016 05:41

The incompetent arrogant Milky Bar Kid caused enough damage in this country Oz without him being let loose in the UN. And Shorten who could not stomach him then now pushes forward his nomination - pfft such two faced behaviour !

Jeps 18th Jul 2016 08:16

On sky news Kristina Keneally and PVO really ripped him a new one. To the point where he had out the American medical journals definitions and criteria for what constitutes a psychopath. Needless to say he almost ticked every box....

chuboy 18th Jul 2016 09:58

It's the UN... who cares what they do or say anyway?

They are just an even more bloated version of the EU. If a country decides they don't want to do what the UN wants all they get as punishment is a strongly worded letter of "grave condemnation".

Let him have his ego trip. In this day and age he has no chance of being elected over a woman anyway.

Trouble with PVO is he never stops talking, why does he bother with guests?

No idea how much truth there is in it but today KK, on the PVO show, (God, how I hate it, won't watch tomorrow!), said; Rudd isn't after the top job anyway, which he thinks will possibly go to Uncle Helen but, in any event, a women, Rudd wants the next job down.

Just announced on Channel Nine news, from their reporter at the Democratic convention, that 70% of American voters don't trust Hillary Clinton - a good start! :).

Clare Prop 29th Jul 2016 10:38

Meanwhile, just imagine the tanty that must be going on chez Kevin...! Suddenly these people are saying he should be nominated for the UN?! "The Real Kevin Rudd" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-5RgFe9OX4

parabellum 29th Jul 2016 11:34

Had Rudd been proposed and worse still, got the job, Australia would have become a laughing stock.

Stanwell 29th Jul 2016 22:15

Thank you, para.
Intelligent and articulate though he may be, I'm afraid that Kevin had proved himself to be little more than a pretentious poonce.
Gareth Evans*, on the other hand ...

*I'll just add, the former Minister for Throwing Ashtrays, to remind you.

Ascend Charlie 30th Jul 2016 20:18

Even Mark Latham, a former leader of the Laborious Party, laughed his head off on TV and said "Kevin RUDD?? You gotta be joking!!!

I see my reply post has disappeared..

Again briefly: To me, the US election will be the decider of political direction in Oz. So I sit and watch..:)

Yep.
Let's stay tuned. :ok:

Have you never been to a country that has endured years, decades even, of UN sanctions?

Of course the sanctions are only effective if member countries of the UNSC decide to enforce them.

Ascend Charlie 8th Aug 2016 22:06

I think you will find there has never been a successful move for a sanction against an arab country, but there are a pile against Israel. Guess who holds the numbers...

SOPS 10th Aug 2016 03:01

Well.....the census was a roaring success.

david1300 10th Aug 2016 04:12

Australia has a population of just under 50 people, according to last night's census figures. It represents a fall from the 22 million measured in the 2011 census.

The snapshot of the nation showed that almost one in five of all Australians now live in a share-house in Coppin Street, in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond. The flatmates, who moved into the property last week, are still waiting for their internet to get connected.

The booming area is set to see further population growth in the future, with Thommo's girlfriend expected to move in next week.

The ABS says the census is vital for future planning, and will allow the government to build new schools, hospitals and other health facilities in that part of Coppin Street.

Other figures showed:

61% of Australians now work for the ABS

7% of Australians have the surname Turnbull

12% of Australians are current or former Australian prime ministers

0% of Australians have an internet connection

Australia's population now 48, ABS confirms
