Everton pitch invader handcuffs himself to goalpost in protest against discount airline | Dirty Tackle - Yahoo! Sports

Is a video here where he explains his actions in advance!

The match was halted for about five minutes as police had to bring out a set of bolt cutters to pry the agitated man off the pitch.
None of them had a set of handcuff keys on them? :hmm:

tony draper 31st Jan 2012 20:58

I would imagine hand cuffs like front doors need different keys to open em,if there were one universal pattern master key to open all handcuffs the scallywags would soon get hold of a set.
:uhoh:

I just hope the ruffian was charged £5 for the removal of said cuffs!:p

From the Stephen Pile's "Book of Heroic Failures"

THE LEAST SUCCESSFUL HANDCUFFING The most exciting case of handcuff difficulties was reported in the New Statesman in 1978. It arose while a British circuit judge was trying a burglar in whose possession a pair of handcuffs had been found. 'I thought,' said the judge, 'that the jury might be interested to know how handcuffs could be used to incapacitate a victim.' Brushing aside protests of the prosecuting council, he clasped one handcuff around his left wrist. 'And now,' he said, 'if I take the other handcuff...Oh do be quiet, Mr Smith (addressed to the agitated prosecutor), I am going to show the jury how these things work.' Only when the judge was completely fettered did he learn that the police had not yet recovered the keys. The hearing was adjourned while the judge was led off to the tender mercies of the local blacksmith.

I bet he knew his girlfriend had a key, but she wouldn't allow him to have it . . . until much later.:E

Not so fast there Mr. Draper, and having a little bit of experience init.

Are handcuff keys universal or does each set have a unique key? - Yahoo! Answers

From the link:

Most handcuffs use a universal key... and contrary to what has already been written here, the same key that I use for my Galls, and Peerless handcuffs also opens my Smith and Wesson Cuffs. I believe ASP has the new polymer type cuffs that use a specialized key, and you can also order special cuffs that use specialized keys for high security inmates.

From the DM

Mr Foley blasted the dismissal as a 'scam' by Ryanair to get money out of young people.

He wrote: 'An 18-year-old scouse girl had seen through this scam and after being refused a flight home had told Ryanair supervisors never to forget her name "Foley". How true was these words.'

Ryanair's rejects Mr Foley's claims.

European Communication Manager Daniel de Carvalho has said: 'Ryanair can confirm that this person was never directly employed by Ryanair, she was employed by Crewlink which supply contract cabin crew to Ryanair.
'Crewlink confirm that this woman failed her probation as within the first seven weeks she had a number of occasions of lateness, a large number of uncertified leave days and one occasion where she did not report for duty.
'At Ryanair we maintain very high standards of professionalism among our cabin crew and people who are unwilling to work hard or turn up for work will not continue to be employed either by Ryanair or by any of our contractors.'
