I'm so sorry to disappoint you, singaporegirl, but no, I'm not an enthusiastic shoe shopper at all. I just happen to know the names of some of the more famous designers. Sorry. But that doesn't mean we can't be friends ... does it???

And Mr. D., are you actually acknowledging the existence of Australia??? Here??? On a public forum??? Where everyone can see it????

Runs outside to examine sky for signs of its falling ... or at least of pigs flying through it. Checks daily paper for news of rips in the fabric of the universe. Wonders if Drapes is feeling unwell. Decides it is all too hard and goes to kitchen to make coffee.

Mattel lost a lawsuit against an artist who liked to photograph naked Barbies stuffed into blenders, rolled into enchiladas, and speared on fondue forks.

The court reasoned that Mattel is highly unlikely to come out with their own version of Naked Barbie in a Blender, and made them pay all legal costs.

I have to wonder, recent posters, who would attempt either task?

O K. You win. I even expected something like that and I tried to delete my posting before it was Too Late. Then I discovered a new rule against editing. Well! Well!

I find a curling wand easier to handle. It's much lighter and you can get battery operated ones now for go-anywhere hair styling.

pigboat ... I think you just got me back with that one. We'll consider the tortoise avenged shall we?

Indeed Mr Davaar, one noticed the new editing thingy last night, this is bad news, one can look over a post a dozen times and find nothing wrong, once one hits submit at least twenty mistakes appear.
Still, one has been told ones spelling has improved

"oleagenous" is a good insult.

So is "Coprolitic"

"What did you think of the performance?"
"Coprolitic in the extreme"

Well, Ms Diamond, I have to admit to being a little disappointed. I thought I had found a PPRuNe soulmate there. I do realise that WA is not exactly the centre of the fashion universe (for example, you seem to be under the impression that thongs are a type of footwear ), but you have to make a bit of an effort, you know, pour encourager les autres. In the meantime, Iím sure we can find other common ground (like teasing Mr Draper ).

And a word of advice to you, Mr Davaar. I am all for men acknowledging their feminine side, but in some quarters professing an admiration for Boy Scout lookalikes and knowing all the words to The Sound of Music is enough to make you an object of suspicion. You donít own a lumberjack shirt as well, do you?

After this weeks over indulgence, small hound and self are going to wander to the bakers and purchase a humble Chicken and Mushroom plate pie, one has to remove the mushrooms from his portion as he does not care for fungi.
Trouble is, many folks will, have had the same idea this morning,so we must make haste.

One sees by the clock thingy on ones VCR thingy, that it is now the year 2004, one has done some calculation and it has left one with a feeling of disquiet.
If one takes the year 2004 adds the square of the speed of light , divides by Plancks constant, subtract the Earth Sun paralax, finds the cube root of the result then divide by the distance in inches to one local the Frog and Bucket, the result is 666.
One shall advise singaporegirl not to bother buying any more shoes, but one expects said advice will fall on deaf ears.

But if the end of the world is nigh, Mr Draper, I shall want to look my best. Maybe a pair in red satin?

Anyway, 2004 is the centenary of the invention of paper plates and Ovaltine, so it can't be all bad.

Did not St John the Divine advise in the Book of Revelations
"Let him who hath understand count the number of the beast"
and
"Suffer not your women folk to visit the street of a Thousand Lace Holes, for they shall be sorely tempted, nor suffer them to waste shekels on new sandles in the end times"

Lace holes? I thought it was something else.

Anyway, my mother, whom I regard as a greater authority than St John, always told me to put on clean underwear before I went out, in case I got run over. The principle's the same.

Adjustable spanners are really quite useless, unless one wants to round off one's nuts.

That is soooo true!! I'm exactly the same. People always look at you odd when you mention this though. But really, who wants to eat fungus.

I may invest in a small hound now too, to help dispose of the food stuffs one isn't overly fond of.
