Hmmm indeed one has, short term memory is electrical in nature and therfore very volatile, as it has to be, long term memory is chemical in nature and this lends it to storage on a long term basis.
Drapes problem is that itis all in there somewhere, but as one gets older the retrieval system degrades, very frustrating it is.

I had free Xmas drinkies at two separate places last night. I am due to have a stress ECG test in one hour. I know I am going to throw up on the doctor's floor.

Just think pleasent thought Mr B, they don't have to be possible in the real world of course.
You floating like a little fluffy white cloud,or little kittens playing in a field full of multi coloured daisys.
or Australia recovering its ability to win at various sports.

Well, you were quite right, Mr D. While the nurse was affixing sticky pads etc to my body I got a delightful view down the front of her blouse, and I was able to carry that thought with me throughout the test. Much better than daisies in the field.

Unfortunately the doc stopped the test early due to rising blood pressure. I wonder if I should have stuck to fluffy white clouds?

Last time I was wired upto a heart monitor at the docs, all seemed to go OK until he was unplugging it all...

I asked if I'd passed, he replied 'Yes although the computer seems to think you've recently had a heart attack'

Computers eh!

As I write this, my back seat crew are doing defib refresher training. The machine makes the decision whether to shock or not.

Don't know which to trust better, machines or doctors.

London Estate Agents pipped at post by Iraqi counterparts.

Northern Iraq Estate Agents are delighted to offer onto the market this rarely-available "trou de souris."

Nestled amid extensive farmland near the picturesque village of Adwar, this discreet studio apartment is hidden from the main road. Privacy is assured through a unique brick and dirt camoflage exterior.

The property is fully air conditioned via a traditional Iraqi tin exhaust pipe and is within the Tikrit Grammar School catchment area.

Some modernisation is required, making the property especially attractive to an investor or keen DIYer.

Suit batchelor or fugitive dictator. The current owner is reluctant to part with this remarkable property but unexpected circumstances have forced sale.

An early internal inspection is highly recommended.

I did a 20 yard skid (in the car before anyone makes a smart-alec remark) last night. It was deliberate I hate to admit.

I was in a foul mood. That was my excuse. I also decorated my Xmas tree. That perked me up a little.

"What goes up must come down". Not always, satellites eventually fall to earth and, **** me, so did Skylab! But there's a Lunar Rover went up and it still hasn't come down, ditto the lunar module landing gear base thingies and a couple of flags...

Not necesarily Mr Ozzy, given enough velocity they will never come back,,they would enter a open eliptical orbit, 25,000 mph is escape velocity from the thrale of Earths gravity, if memory serves.

Welcome back Mr Topcat, hope your time off was fun.

I've decided not to have a Christmas tree this year, not going to be home much so decided it wasn't worth it. Am struggling to get into the festive spirit now though, so maybe this decision was a mistake.

35 Million tons of shipping has been lost off the Southern African Coast between 1552 to 1984.

One is indebted to a link provide by Mr D on his Blacksheep thread.

The sky is crystal clear tonight. I bet there are no astronomical events scheduled then. Sod's Law dictates that such events only occur when it is 8/8 clag.
