RIP Alex Trebek, Jeopardy host
Passed away at age 80 from stage 4 pancreatic cancer, a nasty disease.

I liked his "voice", he obviously relished his role on the show, It ran forever on a lot of nostalgia for the simple things without the usual game show hype
I spent many happy and challenging evenings in Delray Beach with friends trying to reach best scores and stay ahead of the opposition. I'm not sure it will continue in the same form.
He is sadly missed in the Image house.

In 1961 when Newton Minnow, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, opined that U.S. television was "a vast wasteland", he was right. It has only gotten worse!
A welcome exception has been the show Jeopardy and its host, Canadian-American Alex Trebek. My Bride and I watch the show five times per week; it actually challenges one to think, unlike the majority of American programming. Host Alex Trebek was a true gentleman - we all know how few of those remain!
We shall continue to spend a postprandial half-hour watching Jeopardy and we shall miss Mr. Trebek - a kind, gentle, respectful, and witty soul who was always welcome in our living room!
