From the BBC link posted earlier:
The only reference to politics in the statutes is a requirement on the FIA to "refrain from manifesting discrimination on account of race, skin colour, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic or social origin, language, religion, philosophical or political opinion, family situation or disability in the course of its activities".
The sporting code forbids competitors from "affixing to their automobiles advertising that is political or religious in nature or that is prejudicial to the interests of the FIA".
Hamilton doesn't appear to have contravened these requirements, whatever opinions people have of his t-shirt, so from a regulations standpoint it would be difficult to justify any form of penalty.
Unless the FIA find a clause we don't know about yet, of course.

yep he is a total PITA with his agenda of the month
what does he do for disadvantaged kids in the UK or anywhere else. He must get his crusades from a Christmas cracker because he can’t tell you much about them

Of course the FIA Under the Frenchman won’t say doo diddly

Hamilton under investigation by FIA over that T-shirt.

B &2s.look closely at Hammys car,and steering wheel....
Luckily for Lewis .the last start had a short grid lineup,if it had been longer forming up ,he could have had a tyre blow or brake fire, leading to another red flag.....
Makes you wonder if his T-Shirt has the tag "made in India/China/Indonesia " by underage children.....

F1

Since both Mercedes & Toto Wolff have expressed their support for him, it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.
"Wolff said: "No question - it is entirely his decision. Whatever he does, we will support."
Mercedes responded to a Twitter user who asked that Hamilton "keep politics out of F1", saying: "We're not bringing politics into F1; these are human rights issues that we're trying to highlight and raise awareness of."

Hi Sycamore, do you mean the "#weraceasone" text?

The anti-racism campaign has been organised by F1 and the FIA.

F1 and the FIA have mounted an anti-racism and pro-diversity campaign this year, which includes anti-racism demonstrations before every race.

Hamilton has been at the centre of the demonstrations, as the sport's most high-profile figure and its only black driver.

The spokesman said that the FIA had been working with Hamilton on its diversity programme this year.

In this I am somewhat in agreement with the statement misattributed to Voltaire.

I don’t necessarily agree with what he says or how he says it, but I defend to the death his right to say it.

OldCessna,

Doesn’t take much googling to find the large number of charities Lewis supports financially and others he supports less actively. If he stays within F1 rules he can do what he likes. I watch th3 racing not the waffle. I suspect Ferrari have been more illegal than Lewis but they are always “forgiven”.

Standby for indignant “harrumphing”, head shaking and lamenting of times gone by when “those people” would have known their place.

Someone should let Lewis know

The anger over BreonnaTaylor should be directed at her boyfriend Kenneth Walker -
who fired first and shot a cop in the leg...
leading police to respond by opening fire into the apartment

He was a licenced gun owner. The police broke their door down after midnight to search for drugs. The boyfriend thought criminals were breaking in and fired a shot.
The police fired at least ten rounds, none of which hit the boyfriend. Breonna Taylor was killed by multiple bullet wounds whilst she was in bed. No criminal history, no drugs in the house.
Surely no-one can think that is acceptable??
(Original charges against the boyfriend were dropped).

The police were serving a 'no-knock' warrant - which means exactly that. I'd think more responsibility lies with the people who issued the warrant than with the police who responded with gunfire after they were fired on.
Of course that doesn't fit the 'All Cops Are Bastards' narrative (ACAB - which is spray painted on numerous buildings around here).

And whoever issued the Warrant had to rely on the information given by the Police regarding the level of danger.

At the pre race line up on Sunday, I'm wondering if Lewis will be wearing a shirt printed with a photograph of Matiu Ratana, the police officer who was shot dead in Croydon recently.

That would be great. He is of Maori ancestry, I believe.

No chance. He's making a complete fool of himself with his antics.
