Laura Kuenssberg

I haven't noticed our Laura spitting fire for the last few weeks. You would think the the BBC would expect a continuous return on the £1/4million they shove into her bank account. Maybe her bosses seem to think that she is a bit biased and have sent her off the the Beeb re-education school.

Perhaps she's gone on holiday with Boris.

Her last Tweet on 24 July says “last piece of work for a while! Stay safe, keep up with @BBCNewsand @BBCPoliticsand see you on the other side”. The other side means one thing to me and not ITV.

Variously reported as about to become either Business Editor (sounds unlikely) or Political Editor for ITV News.

Perhaps she is off to Downing Street to host Boris’s Whitehouse style press briefings.

Oh you sexist lot. Quite fancy her actually but wouldn't want to cross swords. Ordering me to take my kit off and ready myself for undercover trysts would lead me to submit.

If I've got her family tree right, what happened to her great grandfather (under Hitler) was especially horrible.

All the WokeBC employees get a refresher in Trotskyite thinking every year.

Please pay attention at the back.

Laura Kuenssberg, the BBC’s popular and highly rated political correspondent, is to leave the corporation in September and take up a new role as business editor for ITV News. She will also contribute to the current affairs strand Tonight.

That happened many years ago, have you been reading papers in the dentist's waiting room? You may be aware that Mafeking has just been relieved!!

If she is going back to that ITN role I do apologise.

It is a shame she is leaving, as at least she had the balls figuratively speaking, to hold this government's and indeed politicians of all parties feet to the fire. I want journalist to investigate and challenge politicians not be lapdogs which unfortunately is the general standard of Journalism now in the UK, and you could say a little like certain members on this Forum, some balance is always useful. I believe she maybe going as Political Editor rather than Business, as I was told by someone who used to work in the HOC when I spoke with them today. Incidentally this same person also mentioned in passing that Bojo post Covid is not very well currently, and that he maybe leaving his post sooner rather than later though after Christmas ! His replacement may well be apparently Dominic Raab.

Kind regards
Mr Mac

If she's going to ITN, then what of Robert Peston; is he in line for BBC Political Editor? I rather like the idea of Chris Mason replacing her, he is entertaining if nothing else!

As for Johnson being replaced by Raab, saints preserve us!! I suppose it could be worse, it could have been (failing) Grayling, Williamson or Priti Patel.

I'm afraid he might be persona non grata these days as a result of a bit of revisionist history, some wokes and a storm of snowflakes!!!

Hopefully there would be a leadership contest first....I think Rishi Sunak would be strong candidate. Only person in the Govt to come out of the Covid crisis with his reputation enhanced.
