I once watched an interview with Jeremy Clarkson in which he mentioned a number of albums in his collection, I had all of them in mine, including the Snow Goose! I'm not sure if having similar music tastes to JC is a good or a bad thing, or indeed, what it says about me

For todays Track of the Day I have chosen something by YES with Jon Anderson & Rick Wakeman in the lineup. Sit back, close your eyes and enjoy...…

If we're looking for music that makes all our troubles seem irrelevant, here's my first suggestion:

If you have a bit more time, try the Larghetto from Beethoven's often-overlooked 2nd Symphony, as conducted by Leonard Bernstein:

'Twas a great song when it was first released and this performance, 40 years later is simply awesome. Enjoy.

Well, if we're doing a tune de jour then may I present this little gem from my childhood.
I rediscovered this after hearing it on an episode of Family Guy. I hadn't heard it for nearly forty years and it instantly transported me back to the sound of Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2, the smell of burnt toast and the impending doom of another day at school.

Enjoy.

Blimey treadie we must have similar tastes in music. Camel, Caravan, It's a Beautiful Day etc. Unfortunately my LP collection is long gone, along with my Quad amps and Radford speakers :-(( but thanks for the memories.
And thanks to the other contributers here, some new names are going in my note book.

I won't call It's a Beautiful Day one-hit wonders, but for such a good band they weren't in the spotlight long.

I'd never heard of them till about six years ago. Irritatingly they played at small music venue near me a year or two later - had I known I would certainly have gone!

I'll see your Fog on the Water and raise you a Child in Time

I love almost any rock from that era with a Hammond B in it.
