ER. Just when you thought they were utter imbeciles, they yet again confirm just that.

alarmist language works..
then a couple of minutes later
we donít use alarmist language.

no clue, no solutions.

These protests will become extinct with the seasonal regional cooling. The pro CO2 gang can carry on.

The winter is time to reflect on the challenges against the accepted Climate Change assumptions, while warm at home. YouTube is your friend. Even if they do warn you not to look.

I'm surprised the Met gave them a week of disruption but even that wasn't enough for the co-founder

Maybe off-topic ?
If they are glued to something, why not just leave them ?
I think after a certain number of hours (days?) they will
demand a 'comfort' break.

The ideal opportunity to charge them a release fee.

The Dutch farmers had a bit of a moody as well but their protest gained tractors, err traction!

During the protests demanding votes for women, one of the Pankhursts chained herself to the railings of Buckingham Palace and refused to move. Eventually, the policeman trying to persuade her to go gave up, went away and returned with a bottle of water. He poured the water on the pavement between her legs and left her. She was embarrassed sufficiently by the impression the wet pavement gave, unchained herself and left.
I totally agree with the idea that those who choose to glue themselves to pavements, roads etc should be left there. (Maybe the local kids could then be invited to come along and throw rotten fruit at them?)

For those familiar with Aussie TV, that very principle was expounded by one Kerri Anne Kennerly. After some bloke caused a number of lanes of a major arterial bridge in I think it was Brisbane to be closed when he slung his hammock underneath, the good lady recommended that these protesters should not be soaking up emergency service resources and should be left to get on with it.

She then went to to add that "they could put little witches hats around them so you can drive round" but caused her female colleague to put her head in her hands in dispair when Kerri Anne went on to say "....or use them as speed bumps..."

What a bunch of @rseholes! Bringing, or attempting to bring an environmentally beneficial form of mass transit, the London Underground, to a halt. have they totally lost the plot.

Frankly the prat that got a good kicking on the station this morning deserved it.

As someone that commutes across London on the tube every day I completely agree. It's a stressful experience at the best of times. Even a slight delay of a couple of minutes means the whole system is backed up and the platform full. I usually see 4 trains go through the station before I can actually get on to spend the journey wedged in a tiny gap usually between a guy with garlic breath and a sweaty armpit. Tempers run high as anyone that has stood on the left side of the escalator at rush hour has found out. This was only going to go one way.

Also Canning town was not the best station to choose.

Inevitably people were going to get fed up with their antics. That fool was lucky to get away with a mere kicking. In some countries he'd have been lynched.

They've made their point. Although in reality no one is listening anymore. They've simply become annoying.

I suppose the next step will be for the extremists to start blowing up power stations and anything that isn't ecologically sound.

Although in their warped thought process they would probably start blowing up wind farms!!!

Agree they got what they deserved and should be thankful they didnít get more of a bashing.

In an article in Wednesday's The Australian Newspaper they were described by Liz Storer who is the new head of an organisation called Advance Australia (which has positioned itself as a political counter to the Left wing Get Up movement) as ....

"These People are seriously unhinged.......These guys are very strategic but the truth is they are not a Climate change group. They may market themselves that way. They are hell bent on deconstructing society as we know it.......they operate on a manifesto of delusions based on a rejection of European colonisation and traditional values that most mainstream Australians hold dear."
