Hilarious parody obviously but as someone pointed out. The desert will get them long before use of 'deadly force' is authorised.
Bit like the border really.

I suspect, no, I know most of the work done there is deadly boring and techie. Way beyond the simpletons who believe in aliens.

Besides, they moved the most interesting stuff to a "secure location" years ago. It's still a good area for UFO watching though!

This is mostly a joke but would not be surprised if a few oddballs try to breach the perimeter. The "Use of Deadly Force" postings should be assumed to be just that, what ever it takes to keep you out. I was up at the back gate a few months ago and even at 100+ yards, away it looked forbidding. The terrain, snakes and temps should take care of the major group, what's left over the "camo dudes" should be able to handle with ease.

Perhaps the aliens could tell us if Darwin was right.

In the case of aliens, not Darwin but Fred Hoyle....

This has disaster written all over it. If US military use deadly force then no amount of PR statements will alter the headline "US Miitary kill US Citizens".

The you won't protect the border as another 2 million this year cross it bit shoot taxpayers dead is a bad story.

The East Germans used to protect their border from would-be emigrants using deadly force.

No, cats, elephants and gorillas are way smarter than humans. If cats had opposable thumbs...

My cat seems to enjoy typing on my computer. I don't have a clue what the sequence of characters he types mean though. I'm guessing it must be a very advanced language. I don't keep any elephants or gorillas, but if I did, I'm not sure my computer could stand up to their typing for very long. Couldn't afford to feed them anyway. I'll stick with the cat. He just now typed the following while jumping from my shoulder to the computer to the countertop: ( (:"{P). What could it mean?

I don't think the security troops would use deadly force on morons. But I wouldn't put it past them to employ some crowd dispersal methodology that's none too pleasant.

If you'd read the Hitchiker's series, you'd know that the mice contracted the construction of planet earth and that the dolphins were the most intelligent indigenous species on the planet.

We know that we don't know what other life there is in the universe.

It is undeniable that some species communicate with each other, though we cannot understand their language (not entirely true as animal body language can be interpreted by many humans).

Just think if we could tune-in to ant language.

The existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe is evidenced by the fact that they have NOT tried to contact us.
