I caught bits. Alex Morgan likes a dive doesn't she? She spent more time on her behind than her feet.
Steph Houghton has already come clean that she miskicked her penalty. Kudos to her for stepping up in the first place.
England were visibly running out of steam toward the end.
The girls have carried themselves well though as has Neville. Can't he manage the mens team too?

Mens manager

A couple of years ago none of us would have wanted Gareth Southgate as the England Manager. Now I think were all pretty happy with the job he is doing.

Its an odd time when we have somebody advocating Phil Neville for the England Mens Manager position. I really never thought Id see the day.

I must admit though that, despite my reservations, both managers seem to be doing a good job.

Too bad the Dutch girls couldn't pull it off.

But I'll bet they don't spend the next months bitching about what a horrible country they live in.

er, that was an interesting/unfortunate expression. I've always had an interest in Dutch girls pulling it off. Ever since Torremolinos in 1968.

Love it .. just about my time as a youth on the Costa Brava ... wonderful voyages of discovery !

Seriously the ironesses (sic ) were our dyked by the Swedes who clearly had Dolph Lundgren in goal !

Someone has now sniffed an opportunity as the next big thing .. equal remuneration for lady players !

We we already have this nonsense in tennis and golf
.. Alright the costs can he absorbed by tv rights etc. and even though we know its 2nd rate in terms of real sporting entertainment ... let it go !

In Soccer, we

USA win again ... well done it has to be said !

The golden strap on ( aka boot ) is deservedly awarded to a US player .

Long may this run of good fortune continue ...

Here it is.

"My fellow Armenians, we should all be proud of our boys winning the hockey World League Cup over there in... somewhere in Europe. I look forward to meeting the team on their return, except one of them. I will personally coach them on how to move goalposts, create an uneven playing field and play the man, not the ball ."
