Powering the World with Magnets
Article in today's WSJ.

The astrophysicist Carl Sagan liked to say that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. But Dennis Danzik’s assertions blow past extraordinary and motor right on to fantastic.
Mr. Danzik, the science and technology officer for Wyoming-based Inductance Energy Corp., says he has invented a magnetic generator, a flywheel system that extracts usable energy from the interplay of exotic magnets—also known as a free-energy device, a cousin to the fabled perpetual-motion machine.

As soon as the sacred name of Tesla is mentioned in relation to these types of devices, you know it is a scam designed to raise money from the gullible and stupid. As for hiding proprietary techniques, if anyone had truly invented a genuine energy generator, the world would heap awards and unlimited wealth on the inventor without the need for patents.

To me, everything about this screams snake oil, but if, IF, some as yet unknown, unmeasurable, invisible, force exists, it will equal the achievements of Faraday, Marconi, James Watt, Archimedes, and more latterly, fermi. It WILL change the known world. No wonder they refuse to turn any crucial information over to those who would choke the life out of it at birth. They are obviously not short of investment, or believers, so we will have to wait while they slowly introduce it to the world to gain broad acceptance.
This approach to the introduction of something so lifechanging does not require a bold strategy, but one that is right for the benefit of all humanity. I wish them well.

His machine is akin to a child spinning the wheel on an upturned bike, but instead of the force being the childs hand momentarily slapping the wheel at a tangent, it is replace by the push of opposing magnets of the same polarity, one on the wheels circumference and one momentarily placed so it's field pushes the magnet on the wheel then withdrawn before its drag effect is felt as the next magnet begins to align, supposedly the energy taken to move the fixed magnet back and forth is less than the energy imparted on the wheel.
He is by no means the first to discover this idea...it doesnt work anyway and I don't know how he is getting investment
P.S. I Though the wall Street Journal was supposed to be a serious publication, has it perhaps started employed millenials complete with a total lack of critical analysis skills

As a kid I thought I had invented a similar type of system, but it required the geared intervention of an interrupter plate that blocked magnetism .....That was after my attempt to square the circle. (which also went down in flames) .

I'm still looking for a way to extract all that energy that he pumped into the earth from the Niagara Falls. It's just sitting there waiting...
It s not fun when you have to explain it....

There was a Dublin based company proposing a similar arrangment a few years back
