Here you're gunna love this one!

The Former PM of Australia (knifed in the back before a term, as is the want of Aust. Politicians of both side)...gave almost 1/2 a billion $ to an entity without a competitive tender process...(a Dept. of 10 people!!)

The auditor said its targets were not detailed enough...response??

You'll love this!!...

"Setting of quantitative targets in the guidelines would have given an unrealistic impression of the precision with which outcomes can be predicted in the very early stages of this intervention in a highly dynamic and complex biophysical and socio-economic system."

......Huh!?!?...great stuff....and a poignant reminder that this "Greater Economic Manager" stuff espoused by the right is utter BS.....

I'd post link,,,,but have only 7 posts since about 2001...apparently....

I agree with the quotes, however I think the word "targets" should be changed to the word "limits" in a rebuttal

I agree with the quotes

Lomapaseo....I have a fairly long experience with the Great Barrier Reef, and with sub tropical marine environments....

Hydromet...would certainly very much more so.....

But I have NO IDEA what that BS is meant to mean ...let alone a justification of a right wing party's insistance on almost 1/2 a Bill ($) worth of uncontested funding to a department of just 10 people....

Chuck us a snorkel I'll have a look!! (Kinda like..."I'm no gynaecologist.....but I'll have a look at it for ya!") ....

Here's yer link Fliegs...

Controversial Great Barrier Reef grant did not comply with transparency rules, National Audit Office says

I don't understand it either - but then neither did I understand what some ultra-feminist nitwit was banging on about on the TV the other day; a mixture of SJW jargon and MBA devised bullshit bingo I think but it could have been a language from another planet far far away...
