I'm now getting a "The page isn't redirecting properly, try again" message. Trying again works, but it is a damned nuisance!

The Stasi is watching you! (I don't think that GCHQ would need that 5 seconds.)

Fourth day in a row, this is getting tiresome. Since I'm logged in and identified, why not just drop a cookie or summat and be done with it? This is the only site that I know of that engages in this hoop-jumping.

The 3 bouncing dots hypnotize you while the rest of it plants subliminal messages. I recommend wearing polarized sunglasses while looking at it.

Haven't you noticed how, after watching those dots, you end up with a far more favourable view of airline management...? And of Remoaners! Maybe those polarised sunglasses are a good idea!!

They're not dots! They're shrivelled plums.

Don't forget the rubber boots to prevent the signal passing through!
Put away the brown paper trousers.
Or you get charged with rustling.

I don't understand why some PPRuNe users seem to feel so slighted and disrespected because of a simple and painless and without cost security measure.

Do you feel the same insult when positive ID is required to go airside?

Deal with it!

I have no problem with the check itself, when I log in, but I do get peed off when, having typed a post, I press the 'submit' button and once again get the browser checking notice followed by a blank page and my post has disappeared into cyber space. Surely not quality control?

I hear ya, PB - even if we disagree on politics, I've lost a post too, and sympathize. Best to copy everything before hitting "submit" - just in case.

Plus the "Last Page" link of long threads also now delivers a "failed redirect" message. Whatta mess!

Happened to me yesterday. Fortunately, as I hadn't had the foresight to copy my post either, hitting the Back button (on Firefox, at least) will make it magically reappear in the edit screen.

Incidentally, I recall reading in another thread that the browser checking on PPRuNe is intended only as a temporary measure. We'll see ...

I think that it is all falling to bits here. I have access to a Private Forum, which when I am Logged Out says 'Private' but when I am Logged In lists the Threads on that Forum in the normal way. However, there is another Forum that I can see all the Threads listed and view them when I am Logged Out but when I am Logged On it shows as 'Private'!! What sort of logic is that? This seems a clear sign that it's all falling apart. Pity, much of it has been fun.

Yes, had several of those - "too many redirects" message. Let's see if this one survives ...

Since this has started, I can't access the UK politics thread. Silver lining eh?

I asked a question on R&N in February, somebody thought I shouldn't with the comment "This is not a Q&A page", I've been excluded since then.

Not just checking but massive white space when you open a subject. After the normal headers the subject title appears at the bottom of the screen and I have to scroll down. If the user friendliness increases any further I might reconsider PPRuNe.

You can switch the "infinite scroll" off - look under User CP , Settings and Options, edit options and eventually Display Options
