Eyjafjallajökull II ?

One unpronounceable name is enough for English only speakers 😬

Kekoheho’ohenonohoikalaiopunapaia’alaikahala.
That would go nicely with the Hawaiian state fish, Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

Is that the species name or does it refer to just one, very exalted fish.

Some scientist based Hawaii was going on about global warming sea level rise, i contended i would be more worried about a volcano going off living there.

I suspect most people in Hawaii are more concerned about hurricanes than sea-level changes or volcanoes, at least given the last two or three years. You can run away from lava and rising sea levels is a slow process. However, we've had a few near-hits by hurricanes recently and the forecast for this season is an increased chance of hurricanes in the Central Pacific.

Although I can't speak for Oahu or the other islands, the Big Island does have shelters for residents but none of them are hurricane proof. In fact, they're not even tropical storm proof...

Speaking of unpronouncable volcano names, one of the suggestions being considered for fissure 8 on Hawaii Island is:

Kekoheho‘ohenonohoikala‘iopunapaia‘alaikahala

Well spotted, jolihokistix, Puna is definitely part of the translation! And treadigraph, unfortunately not, and my Hawaiian is not good enough to know what the translation of fissure is, I'm not sure there is a direct Hawaiian word for it, but will check. For those that didn't check the link (I don't blame you, it's the Hilo Tribune, unofficial motto being Yesterday's News Tomorrow!) is:

"cherished crease occupying the calm of Puna of the forest bower fragrant with pandanus"
