Cazelet is it possible for you to post anything other than vitriolic drivel?

Concur.

Good on the lad.

He's got his own priorities and he gets on with it. Good on 'im.

Prince Harry and Megan have announced that they don't want the traditional fruit cake at their wedding reception. However. Prince Phillip has retorted that he doesn't give a toss what they say. He's still going!

If they do have children they'd better make sure that the kids are born outside of the UK. If they don't do that then the children will be considered irreparably UK domiciled. That will prove an enormous disadvantage in the years to come. Avoiding UK domicile should be a tax avoidance priority of any UK resident mixed marriage family planning.
I too had thought of the unfortunate emblem that Harry wore on his shirt. In that context, I had wondered whether, at the wedding, he and Megan would dress up in the fashion created by that delightful dressing room scandaliser George Mitchell.
That would be too funny for words. It would certainly be worth any amount of trade agreements with the USA. Such a simple act of humorous disguise would enable the two love birds at least to attempt to make final coal amends for the stupefyingly enormous amount of moolah that the wedding and subsequent security bills will amount to, all of which costings will no doubt be passed on to the tax payer.

It's a family thing.

Forgive him, for he knows no better.

If he'd gone down the Hewitt line things'd bin diff'rent, but he didn't, so he wasn't.

AIUI, their coming together was as a result of a blind date - which leaves room for suspicion.
Mmmm - mrsr1 and I met on a blind date. Married 3 months later - that was nearly 28 years ago ...

It's already been stated that the costs of the wedding ceremony will be met by the royal family.
That presumably excludes the external security arrangements.

Did those who were responsible for the arrangement know the background of either/both of you?

My goodness me, wouldn't it be amusing were Corbyn's Marxists, on assuming power, to demand DNA tests on all the Royal Family so that they could make sure that only the true blues were executed.
That would let Harry off the firing squad detail but imagine the chagrin of MM when Her Royal Highness, Duchess of Sussex, discovered that she was bigamously married to a man of common descent.
Never mind, she and Harry could decamp to Los Angeles and become the British Royal Family in exile, until eventually Uncle Jo (Jon Lansman in this case) became bored with the idea of expatriate royalties and had them dispatched with melting ice picks on a summer afternoon in a Bougainvillea scented garden.

That could work.

There they wouldn't be regarded as worthless wastrels. They'd be worshiped as such.

cheetah,
I don't know what you are on, but I hope it wears off soon as it isn't doing you any good.

WhenI'm not on medication I have been told that I
can recite the Book of Common Prayer backwards, in Latin not the vulgate.

That's for low-life commoners.

Not for the likes of Major Hewitt's spawn. Nor for the germs of the Germans.

Will Major Hewitt be given a front row seat at the nuptials? Or is that still a bit of a touchy subject?
No it's not a touchy subject, it's a horse that was well and truly flogged to death years ago. Only a few complete tossers who refuse to face facts are still unwilling to let it go

That presumably excludes the external security arrangements.

At all times when HMQ is in residence the security at Windsor is extensive so probably very little extra required, possibly provided by the Household Cavalry who are housed close by and whose job is to guard the Royal Household.

The media seems to be assuming that Meghan will give up acting entirely, but I don't know if that's a given. I would not be surprised to see her pop up in some small TV parts in the UK, a light workload compatible with her royal responsibilities. Modern UK is not like highly conservative Monaco in the 1950s, where Grace Kelly was forced to stop acting for religious "moral" reasons. An actress can even become Queen - just ask Theodora, main squeeze of the Byzantine Justinian I, back in the days when "actress" was a euphemism.

The Kensington Palace arrangement is temporary, though: at some point in the next few years, Clarence House will become available, as its current occupants move in to Buckingham Palace. It's probably not wise for the Heir and the Spare to live in such close proximity.

Make it one or three! I'm delighted for them both, especially himself who has matured into an admirable young man.
