Just block access, that would tackle the problem.

Our dog was allowed on an easy chair provided his rug was in situ. But whenever he was taken out for a walk, the cat would instantly occupy the vacancy. On his return, the dog would grip a corner of the rug in his mouth, and yank it out from under the "sleeping" cat, who "woke up" spinning in mid air. A single bark followed, which was his request that we replace his rug.

Alas, this then leaves the rest of the Imperial Palace of residence exposed..."revenge is sweet, revenge is mine, so I will wait, and bide my time " .as in when the minion is asleep, comes to mind.

Check it for sky blue paint. God might be redecorating. If so, take it to your nearest church and they will arrange for its return.

Bristles look grey to me - maybe that's why it's finally stopped raining - the Almighty dropped his water colour brush.

Damn, we're getting her back

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-57883692

Controversial British commentator Katie Hopkins will be deported from Australia for bragging about flouting hotel quarantine rules, says the government.

Ms Hopkins - who has often drawn anger for racist remarks - had entered the country to star in TV show Big Brother Australia.

On Friday she posted a video from her Sydney hotel room where she joked about putting frontline staff at risk.

Her comments sparked widespread condemnation.

In the video, Ms Hopkins said she planned to "lie in wait" for workers to deliver food to her room so she could open the door "naked with no face mask".

She also called lockdowns the "greatest hoax in human history". Australia's two biggest cities, Sydney and Melbourne, are both in lockdown.

The post has since been wiped from her Instagram.

On Monday, the Australian government confirmed her visa had been cancelled, after she was also sacked from the reality show.

Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews called Ms Hopkins' comments "appalling" and a "slap in the face" for Australians in lockdown.

"We will be getting her out of the country as soon as we can possible arrange that," the minister told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

"Personally, I'm very pleased she'll be leaving," she said.

Ms Hopkins has not commented on her deportation, but on Sunday said she was "joking" in her quarantine remarks.

Seven Network and production company Endemol Shine Australia said Ms Hopkins had been fired for those comments, but did not respond to criticism of her hiring in the first place.

The weakest and most often used excuse for offensive comments. Say something vile, immediately play the "I was only joking" card, and that makes everything okay. Sorry you have to have her back NutLoose ... but she's been deported and is now on her way.

Some of us have a soft spot for Katie - it is around 3 miles S of St Catherine's Point.

That's quite a storm south and east of Tunbridge Wells - loads and loads of lightning strikes constantly over the last hour or so.

Is Katie here already?

Hotter than the hobs of hell in this bit of Devon, The outside sensor that controls our heating, located on the N wall of the house, is showing 31C at 17:30. Presumably if it gets much more the boiler goes into reverse and it starts pumping gas back into the tank

One is debating what communication method one should use to reach teenage daughter in her room.
Knocking - no good.
Shouting - no good.
Gesturing outside window - no good.
Nuclear sub on patrol is easier to have dialogue with.
We know she's alive in there - smells food and comes out - feral in that respect.

Get a clicker
Withhold food
When she shows the right behaviours, click and reward with food and praise lavishly
Ignore negative behaviour.

Pavlov also got good results with a bell, you might try that.

Failing that - get a shock collar, It is cruel on dogs but it is ok for teenagers - they deserve it!

Best advice I can give about grumpy teenagers is ignore them while they have their hissy fits. Carry on your life as normal, at mealtimes don't call her, leave the house without telling them etc.

When she does emerge from her room ask her what's up. Could be any number of things, hormones, bullying at school, boyfriend trouble, mother v daughter arguments, missing her friends because of the lockdown, too much time on social media. Take her for a walk in the park or the countryside, anywhere neutral away from the house. I did that with a grumpy teenage son, he seemed to open up and calm down. Remember that it is a phase they go through and usually come out of it.

"Remember that it is a phase they go through and usually come out of it."

Sadly, not all makes this transition,

Many continue in their chosen career paths, such as "social influencers ", politicians, reality TV " performers / celebs".. on lists that can't be defined by the alphabet, or just your everyday free loading oxygen stealing parasites...their extensive vocabulary being " Want ! It's my wight !! ".
