Most alcohol free bier can be very good provided they are served in very low temperature - a few degrees warmer and it tastes to sweet for my me. This sweetness is what renders the beer undrinkable - to me at least.

Nervous do I read between the lines correctly that SHMBO daughters have not sprung from your loins?
And does that perhaps make it harder for you to let them know that their Mum is sad not to have heard from them yesterday? Or perhaps easier?
Eighth day in a row with (heavy) snow and now there´s wind too.
My comfort zone includes less and less snow.
On the other hand, zip lining upside down over jungle and canyon was well within it.

Looks like this might be another winter Gateshead sees absolutely zero snow,I can see in ther furture we crumblies telling younsters about snow and being sneered at,
"Yer yer old timer, white stuff falling from the sky?of course it did, here's 250 quid go and buy yerself a cuppa tea"

Very disappointing. I think after that month I started not caring for alcohol.
I was lucky, I enjoyed the 1st one

As we toured North Island I stuck with this beer and happily asked for it by name at each port of call.
On arrival at my brother in law's place near Wellington, we are promptly taken out to his excellent RSA club and I am asked, 'What are you drinking?' when I say's 'I'll have a Speights!" he responded, 'But that a South Island beer'. In the same Yorkshire ascent and tone of distaste that he would have used to describe Watney's.

Good morning. After a glorious dry sunny almost spring-like day yesterday, woke up to a bit more snow this morning here in the Scottish Borders. Beautiful morning now. Just been for a walk alongside the river and did some snaps. Work looms later.

Swan Brewery, Perth, W.Aus. used to make one for Saudi Arabia that was actually quite good, but I haven't found it for many a year, and certainly not in NZ at the moment.

I'm not sure it's available anywhere any more.

Zip lining upside down would certainly not be in my comfort zone...
Not a fan of zero alc. beer either. However, visiting Lagunas (?) brewery in Chicago last year, most of their stuff is now over 10% and way too sweet at the same time and I was asking myself: Why?? One likes a good strong Bock beer now and then, but there are some very reasonable beers out there in the standard range of 4.5 to 6%.

Hi Juud, yes SWMBO's daughter is my step daughter and yes that does make it a lot harder for me to say anything. The daughter finds it very easy to be offended by her mother so if I say anything it could well result in a total end to all communications between them.

Ref my previous post about page 6 not being visible unless I use the quote function if I try on my phone I can see everything as normal - it's just when I use this computer - weird. As I said it's only this thread in Jet B. everything else anywhere else is fine.

Absolutely beautiful, Mr Ricardian.
The Lights are way up high on my list of things to see before the Grim
Reaper comes to call.
No chance today of seeing them today. Overcast and 0C.
Had a 5 hour session in the garden yesterday, chopping up the last of
the tree prunings and then raked and mowed both lawns.
I now ache.
