You could have cleared out your empty beer bottles. Fifteen years worth ... is several breweries worth 😉

Local people up in arms about 'The Rec' closing and the single open grass area is dogs on leads only. How are they supposed to entertain their kids?!

Meanwhile from my back door step I can list six walks where I rarely if ever meet anybody. Trees to climb, rivers to swim, fields to run in. The 'reccers' as I call them don't seem to appreciate that there is a whole world out there where now is the safest time ever for kids to go feral and learn a whole new skill set that doesn't involve elecktrickery.

Wots that song? Oh yeah.... to paraphrase: 'We had joy, we had fun, together we climbed hills and trees, skinned our knees' etc.

Grandkids could always follow my example and find about things like damming streams and climbing trees - no-one to tell them not to when they are ours!

You are quite right TBirdFrank, it is the grandparents duty to lead the grandchildren on adventure. We let ours get away with stuff our children were never allowed to do!!

Why am I sitting here at 5:41 AM?

This is coffee time, not beer o'clock!

When I worked in Shekou, PRC, there was an expats club called the Snake Pit. That was the tee shirt emblem.

Stockie... Call Tiger Lily pronto!

Radz apologies for the delay replying, by strange coincidence my brother had an accident today and was lifted by whirlybird to the local Major Trauma unit. All seems well, albeit he would normally have adored the trip but was a bit preoccupied.

Anyway, Ben and Antonio have now received a visit from The Tiger Tigers, who have left industrial quantities of Martinis, Mojitos and some very odd sort of Negroni. Oh, and More Beer for Barlers.
