Yes, considering there are only 5m of them and the extensive and awkward terrain they seem to do a good job. Think it said the railway line was pushed 2m out to sea by the last big earthquake and now it's up and running. And HS2 is going to take how long and cost what?
Traffic and parking didn't seem to be a problem either. Rather reminded me of Finland.
One argument I had with Scottish independence was the economic burden on a small population of maintaining far flung infrastructure and a dispersed population. If NZ can do it without a subsidy from England (or maybe in the future perhaps from the EU), why couldn't Scotland? So perhaps zero the budget and give it a try?

Right now the cheapest available ticket is USD 5,200.

I'll do the math - USD 339,695,200
All well and good, but, no mention as to the cost of a hot dog !.....and if you have to pay extra for the garnishes ......one likes hot dogs you understand

Hard Rock Stadium (2019)
Price of a Beer: $9.50
Price of a Hot Dog: $6.75

Beer prices went up $0.50 in 2019.
Concession prices for the Bowl this year seem to be a closely held secret so far, much like the answer to:
why the gauge of moral behavior in the Republican Party is bouncing on zero?

Thank you, however, if anybody thunks one would shell out five quid for a hotdog, one can politely advise them as to where to insert their expectations......hotdog to follow.....with extra hot mustard and chilli relish.

One also feels said gauge is in need of recalibration.....to the Kelvin scale.

One ventured into the Heart od Darkness last night, alone, and in the fog !......t'was a surreal experience. One thunked about "What the Romans did for us "...as in " What the Romans didn't do for the Heart of Darkness " was to build straight roads.......

One has long considered the Met Hoffice to be in a world of their own.........please note the dates, unless somebody wakes up and changes them, in the forecast link. Oen notes they even says updated on Thursday 23rd !

In other news, the 2020 War of Attrition has commenced with the opening skirmishes. The management has observed, and made " helpful suggestions " about, the bursting into life of the grass......

Think hot dogs need to be redesigned. All that ketchup and loose onions is a right management issue.

Leg day and a 800m swim afterwards. Hopefully I'll appreciate the efforts in March when in Whistler.

Laptop is off life support following a hard drive transplant - a spare 500gb has replaced the 1TB original and all is functioning well. W10 unpacked itself, the only thing it got wrong was choosing a generic screen driver, now corrected. Still, think a new laptop would be a good idea...

Unhappy

Never made it into a live super bowl final but did manage to assuage my appetite at many home ballgame parties. As a long time "Birds" fan, I managed to get back from Florida to Philly in time for the start of the final against the Patriots. The world went mad for a week, everyone went downtown to watch the homecoming parade and tell each other that it was about time the Patriots shared things more. (They won it far too often). College football is the best though and the pre/post tailgating experience is amazing.

No violence and no overt racism just good fun.

Sad to say I won't be there this year but I'm sure it will be a sellout.

Looby Loo was just creepy. It was the one Watch with Mother programme I wouldn't watch. Poncy effete middle class twerp offspring. Andy Pandy wasn't much better.

One wishes to add two certain little pigs here "Pinky and ( rude word ) Perky ".....it ever there were two piggies who missed their destiny and should have been served as ( select pork dishes of choice here ) it was those two.!!

One wishes to mention further complexities with hotdogs, notably the use of crispy onions as served on, and consumed in, Denmark

There is also the vital issue of culinary etiquette to consider. As with clotted cream and jam, as to which takes precedence when being dolloped on, does the ketchup or mustard take priority ?......I understand there may be other matters occurring across the globe, but, it's overlooking these essential details that can often lead to global conflict can they not ?

These are matters of custom and culture and shouldn't be dismissed offhand.

Generally - never put ketchup on hotdogs.
And especially don't ask for it on a Chicago dog.

Tom of Tom and Jerry did. Cannot prove it as their cartoons have been banned as being racialist.

Ah, but, who would want to eat a doggy !....there again, " sometime ago " one of the two Chinese restaurants in Bangor, N.Wales had a revealing inspection of the freezer. All one can say is, the residents of H.M Holiday Camp on Anglesey subsequently cruelly referred to the establishment as the " Rin Tin Tin ".....

Putting ketchup on ours would akin to being hung drawn and quartered.......madam prefers to dry herself , when wet, on the soft furnishings and ketchup stains would be blamed on me alone by the management.
