If I recall correctly that is a grade 5 emergency, comparable to the dog not getting his evening meal.

Avoid at ALL cost ...

This afternoon I used a twelve mm piece of plywood to cut a swede.
A further instalment of this exciting tale: might follow.

BMW cars in the UK do not automatically change the vehicle's clock time when BST ends
Presumably 'Vorsprung durch technik' only applies at the end of March when the clocks go forward - leaps backward induced by technology are probably not something that a car manufacturer would want to advertise.

Parp parp, toot toot, phut phut phut; yes it's the first Sunday in November and the old crocks are snorting and wheezing their way past my front door on the Brighton run. Nice day for it...

Update: very sad to hear that an 80 year old entrant was killed in a collision with a lorry on the M23. Sounds like he mistakenly took the M23 rather than the A23 at Hooley. Stupid bloody junction, always hated cycling down through that bit...

Air pollution in Dehli is so severe at the moment that experts have said it's like living in a gas chamber.
They have instituted an odd/even driving regimen that does reduce congestion but apparently does little if anything about the smog.
The bbc has summarized the policy for clarity:

"Private cars with number plates ending in even and odd numbers will be allowed only on alternate days from 4 to 15 November. So, if your number plate ends with one, three, five, seven and nine, you can only drive on odd dates (4,6,8,12 and 14) and if it ends in zero, two, four, six and eight, you can drive on even dates (5,7,9,11,13 and 15)."

It's vital to keep the mercury intake levels up. Best go cap in hand down to Aldi.

Reminds me of a politically incorrect joke from way back that ends with the punch line - "No. Only their privates are black" "Oh! How exotic!"

I have just been advised, verbally, and physically when I offered a consoling pat, that I am now solely responsible for the inclement weather........
