Bluey; Quite agree with your comment re the forthcoming Olympics. ASAIC, any sport that has the word 'synchronised' as part of its description should be deleted!

However, I'd go one step further and cancel the whole Olympics, full stop! To me, these days all the Olympics prove is who is the better drug cheat!

Now you are just being churlish and callous in equal measure. Whilst one is a supporter of the BBC, one also notes that such events tend to require " an awful lot of people " from their resources to cover these events. This may also be the case with your own meedja of course. Hence one will refrain from using the term "free loading junket "....which, if your proposal was acted on, they would be deprived of.......breakdancing in Islington doesn't really count as an attractive alternative location you understand.

Regrettably so! Nor would 'AFL Footballer's Wife gives birth to healthy Son', or something similar which actually appeared in one of the Aussie Tabloids recently.

Brother lives on Glen Road in Laxey iom and dodged a bullet today. Next house was flooded, his was next to go but flood abated. According to this
https://www.wunderground.com/wundermap?lat=36&lon=-36.8&wxstn=0&satellite=1&hur=1
the remnants of Lorenzo are going to throw a left hook into nw Scotland on Friday so he might get a re-run.
edit: hmm, today the model shows a direct hit on the middle UK with ' tropical Storm force winds to portions of the UK Thursday evening and Friday'. BBC weather shows nothing remarkable so presumably their model disagrees. Odd.

Edit: Still coming our way they reckon

Hi everyone - a very rare visit from me these days, trust all are well.

Don't know why, but G-CPTN came to mind the other day. I came on here to see if he was still posting in his unique way, but it looks like activity suddenly stopped mid July. I've searched for mention of him but to no avail.Anyone know anything?

Yesterday, one found oneself underneath helicopter downwash.

It has been a long time since one experienced this sensation.

There has been no change in the experience .

He has ceased posting in TOP too but the knowledge there is that he has computer problems, that seems a big problem to me.

Growled at the bank.
Channeled the fury whilst at the gym.
Went for a cheeky MTB ride.
Whilst having a coffee mid ride, found that the bank rectified their screw up.
Happy.

As someone that shares a professional background with G-CPTN, I had missed his insomniac presence. Could someone please confirm his well being?

On another note, I have been entrusted with the sole care of our energetic five year old for the weekend while the wife buggers off to plant Granny's new garden.

Pray for mini.

You have to feel sorry for teddy bears really....they always get abused and assaulted when humans have a tantrum.....and, in this case, are far more intelligent than the human

Reading a bit more on this ersatz veggie burger hype. Seems vegetarian beef cattle have a destructive impact on the environment.
Interesting, would have thought humans were far more responsible for that stuff. Far fewer cattle or pigs or chickens in this world.
Still not even tempted to eat pretend it's something else food.

Also found out you can buy vegetarian Worcestershire sauce. Again, not tempted.

G-CPTN has posted on TOP. He has a new laptop, but his passwords for here do not work.
