However if you want to talk about
shopping what about the archaic U.K.
Yes, I know what you mean. I've been back in UK for eleven years now but I still haven't got used to this quaint idea of packing your own shopping. Then there's having to get out of the car and work the petrol pumps yourself. Very backward.

Chronus, any chance you'd be interested in the smell of cow shit in Margate today? I have to say it was somewhat overpowering...

For the past few weeks I have been very good and have resisted buying something that I shouldn’t.
Today however my resolve disappeared and so I bought this forbidden item. It was a MarsWrigley
Confectionery Australia Dark Maltesers Teasers 146g dark chocolate bar. Although this sounded
rather tasty it is now in the rubbish bin. My own stupid fault as when I handed over my cash I didn’t
notice that it was actually made in China and not as I thought - Australia.

Spent hours trying to figure out why the Wife's Volvo V70s wipers packed up.

Dud rechargeable battery in the alarm module was the culprit.

Networks Eh?

Maybe so, but what about the devastating revelation that "There is no Socrates"?

These "signs in foreign lands that need to be in English" blunders seem to be quite common in foreign lands.

Would be a good idea for those tasked with writing these signs to spend some token dosh to an "English is my first language" type for the correct wording, instead of winging it because they took some English in high school, speak to lots of tourists and how hard could it be. Especially on Warning signs.
Who of us is going to translate and write "Danger - Do Not Go Near the Cliff Edge. It's 800 feet to the next stop"
at a local scenic spot popular with Chinese tourists without some expert help?

You could have saved yourself a load of time and trouble if you had not turned a deaf ear to your neighbours complaints about being kept awake at night by all that racket coming out of your wife`s welly- labradoodle Sweedish tank.

Once visited the Sea of Galilee and had my photo taken under a sign which read,
'Beware of Western Wimps'.
Didn't take it personally.
