Heading for Pembroke. Any further and I would need an amphibian. Last time I was west of the Dyke was just after the latest big storm. Must have been a bit of a bugger 'cos it blew all of the vowels off the road signs.

First married holiday was to Bwlch in the Brecon Beacons (fantastic thunderstorm that got trapped by the surrounding hills).
Later on with children it was Parrog (Newport Pembrokeshire) and later still it was Borth (dreadful place but plenty of alternatives to visit).
I have vague memories of others but they seem to overlap and become confused as to precise locations (Snowdon railway and a slate mine - or was it a salt mine?).
Saw night-time sea fluorescence - but where? - definitely wasn't Borth or Parrog.

Did a week's work in Swansea with trips (test driving trucks) to Rhossili - the best beach I have been to (including overseas).

Unbelievably busy out there. ATC can't cope and there's delays every where. And this is with Europe pretty much CAVOK and no French ATC strikes. The airline fleets have expanded but the infrastructure has not kept up with that....

It's getting sad when cheesemakers make a big point of saying - "It's real, 100% cheese", in their ads.

...but the infrastructure has not kept up with that....
The infrastructure is held up by availability of aircraft components that will enable the "Open Skies" to operate. For example, retrofit of DO-260B equipment is mandated for June 2020 - but don't hold your breath. The avionics equipment manufacturers only just released the first units this year and for many aircraft models the necessary aircraft Service Bulletins for installing them are not yet certified. A full equipment fit that will interface with the ground system will include Satellite Based Area Navigation Systems (SBAS), Satcom, ACARs, and Enhanced Mode S Transponders in all aircraft operating in controlled airspace before the "Open Skies" can be properly implemented.

Then there's the military kicking up about civilians tracking their every movement on "Flight Radar 24"

Still hot, sticky and tired but just 'pissed' instead of 'pissed off'!
