Mr D. - do you get shoved, or have they let you loose on a mobility scooter?

I believe the FSL could freewheel down as far as the river - but would then need help to return home.
Where I live I struggle to climb the hill into the village, but can 'freewheel' backhome (though if I miss my gate I could end up in the river).

Where Tony lives he could freewheel into a river, but it wouldn't be the Tyne.

Aching a bit today. Back to the gym for upper body work and a short swim. Just finished scoffing a delicious steak cooked by Checkboard. Rest day tomorrow. Off to Milton Keynes for to visit a bank or two and see a movie.

The insomnia fairy is really starting to annoy me tonight - If I get my hands on the little bastard I'll wring his bloody neck - I have a dog of day tomorrow (today) even without a sleepless night !!!

So that's where the IF got to. Lucky for me there was a backup
Cramp Fairy on duty.

Definitely parky this morning. CAVOK and 9C but the wind chill
is making it feel like 5C. Not that I'm daft enough to have ventured outside to feel anything.

Tea is brewing (or mashing as they say around here) while I ponder as to what to have for breakfast.

Morning folks.

The IF and CF have been AWOL from here for the last couple of nights - not that I'm complaining.

Breakfast this morning will be a bacon sarnie courtesy of Mr Watkins the butcher.

We're still in business in engineering and there's a lot of interest on our stand at the MRO Convention. Personally, I didn't do any work for Monarch Airlines all my clients were third parties. There's no such thing as a third party now. They're all simply "Customers".

RIP MON, long live third parties Blackie.

Back in from the garden having had a marvellous time mutilating
some old branches that had been pruned during the Winter
months. Nowt like a chainsaw for soothing the soul.

Here's a job that can be ticked off the list of things to be done at me lock restoration project. We've been building a new mooring wharf. Just needs the bollards and a bit of paving and it's done. There's still a bit more to do elsewhere on the lock.

4ma - Don't forget to add water as well....

Our Reddo flies folks to exotic locations throughout the world. So what does she do on her day off??

Off to Milton Keynes for to visit a bank or two
This is the definition of keeping it real....

Angels, don't need to add water, there's a leak in the temporary dam which means that area needs pumping out every few days. Water will be permanently added after the lock gates have been installed and the temporary dams removed.

Brilliant. We did see a movie too. Kingsman 2. A bit long but not bad. Gory but funny in places.

Not a happy ending to the day. Junior daughter currently heartbroken and in tears. She got home tonight and found their German Shepherd lying dead on the living room floor. Dog was apparently very healthy this morning when she went to work and she had no inkling that it may not have been well. The dog has been a very large part of daughter and hubby's lives for the years they have been together and was one of the family. What can you say at a time like this??

A supermarket has been sending out chocolates by post - and dogs should not eat chocolate.
