Happy Anniversary 4ma, I hope you have and the missus have an enjoyable day and evening. I must admit that a couple of years ago Senior Management and I both completely forgot about ours until about 23:30 in the evening of the day concerned.

Still, as I pointed out at the time, we'd already remembered it (or I had been reminded about it) on the previous 42 occasions so were allowed a bit of a memory lapse every so often.

Now what was I doing?....

Congratulation Mr 4mastacker for the anniversary and remembering it. I have been told the remembering part is vital.

You need to go and see my GP Mr D.
I would imagine a hug from her would brighten up yer day.

More shrubs pruned and grass mowed.
Quite a nice day out there now.

I know exactly what you mean Rwy. Here in Brazil the emergency vehicles leave their lights flashing when there is no emergency which can be very confusing. I've had an ambulance behind me with a very weak siren and as per normal now ignored it since I couldn't hear the siren. It then started flashing its headlights because it really was an emergency (that, or lunchtime).
Bloody stupid. I think the cops do it to to let the criminals know they are there so as to reduce their workload!

Excellent Mr More. My wife's family are all from the Emerald Isle and get miffed when I point out the fact they're all getting maudlin about a country that is one hour's flight away and that they left voluntarily!

It's not really that I want to know, [email protected], (the answer to that is "no") it's more the concern for a friend who clearly believes in marriage but doesn't seem to take enough time to really get to know his girlfriend and who seems to often make mistakes in his choices. Nige ... do bear in mind that a commitment can be heartfelt and serious without feeling you have to marry just because you're in love. Take plenty of time to really think things through because the very last thing you need in your life right now is for more things to go wrong.

You have told us about the tension and difficulties with your job, stress over your living arrangements, financial concerns and worries about your health ... and all that seems to me quite enough for anyone to be coping with without adding a close personal relationship to the list. Sometimes it almost seems to me that you're running on self-destruct and, as a friend, yes, that worries me.

Weather bloke? In between scrumptious Carol in the mornings and that flighty bird you see in the evenings, who needs blokes? Plus we tune in to BBC Southeast and get Liz Riz and busty Kate.

Looks like the weather bloke beat the red sun in the prognostications cup.
Foggy, 250m vis and +2C. Outlook isn't good either.
I fear fear a dull and melancholy day ahead.

However, on the plus side

IT'S FRIDAY

Off to the sophistication and culture of Derby later.
