Tony Draper

Sorry, long time lurker on here - since 2005! Too shy to post normally, but is anyone else worried about the Admiral's absence recently?

It's not like him to go a few days without posting on TRAAB.

I sent him PM and e-mail last night inquiring about his well being, but no reply.

Anybody in contact with him? Worried about him, as reading his posts has got me through some hard times in the last few years!

Best regards to all at JB.

Jim

Jim, I'm still seeing four phantom pages.

Hope all is well with FSL, but he may just be out looking for the next TRABB vessel....

Jim, I'm still seeing four phantom pages.
Me too, they come and go, just like Phantoms.

I believe Juud spoke on the phone with Bro Draper when Tony was taken into hospital a couple of years back; she may have a telephone number. So if Madam Juud is reading this, perhaps she could make contact with Bro Draper and make appropriate enquiries.

I believe, but do not know, that the book of faces is the best place to find Juud these days.

I must admit I've been a bit worried about Mr D's absence.
Apart from PMs I've no idea how to contact him apart from the Juud link.
Fingers crossed that it's nothing more than a broadband or 'puter
problem.

The brass monkeys are skulking around this morning.
-3C but a beaut of a hard frost and not a cloud to be seen.

Call out all available SAR personnel immediately. I suspect it is probably a tech issue for our Fearless Leader or at least I hope so but no, Lynx, I don't have any way to contact him either.

The FSL is in hospital, having had a minor heart attack on Sunday.
I have spoken with his sister-in-law.
He is in good spirits (apart from being bored as he cannot communicate with PPRuNe), and is expecting to have a stent installed in the next few days, after which he is expected to be 'as good as new' (or, at least, as good as he was before the heart attack).

Phantom pages

Yes, sorry - false alarm. About four visible today. Page count in the list 10021, this message 9855 or summat. Biz as usual.

Yes, thoughts & prayers with FSL.

Just heard somewhere else that Herr D. is unwell so best wishes from SE London. Stents are usually simple so I hope he's out sharpish.

I wonder if he is nipping out for the odd gasper behind Matron's back?

TRAB with the temporary absence of the FSL?

ADRIFT! A little boat adrift!
And night is coming down!
Will no one guide a little boat
Unto the nearest town?

So sailors say, on yesterday, 5
Just as the dusk was brown,
One little boat gave up its strife,
And gurgled down and down.

But angels say, on yesterday,
Just as the dawn was red, 10
One little boat o’erspent with gales
Retrimmed its masts, redecked its sails
Exultant, onward sped!

Get well soon, Admiral.

Spot on little poem there Checkers!

And the Admiral does like a bit of verse.

Well done G-CPTN for making the phone call and letting TRABBERS know, and thank you Checkers for passing it on via Face.

As angels said, stent is mainly uncomplicated (for the patient) and does the power of good. HeŽll have to lay off the gaspers though....

Hope he gets well sharpish, our Drapes.
