Morning

Not feeling too well today. The humidity of yesterday and today has done for my right knee and hand.

Nigel's mob had the only decent referee out in the Premiership yesterday. The rest were pants!

Some weeks ago I was looking fruitlessly I might include: for an old tooth brush: to clean in an inaccessible area.
Now I have three.
The pink highlighter pen on the floor: is now back on the table.

Yes Kevin Friend certainly didn't use his surname much yesterday.

Aargh - BBC "News"

The BBC online Internet news seems to have the island country of Dominica and the Dominican Republic (on Hispaniola) confused.

Despite the results to day, it is obvious that both referees were incompetents. Actually their incompetence caused the results in the games today.

Martin Atkinson shouldn't be allowed a whistle even if it be a penny or toffee one!

In a strange tidying up mood todays, tidied two tool boxes and three boxes of assorted cables, found a electric screwdriver that has been missing for ten years, only need to find its charger now.
Prolly have to wait until another tidying up mood strikes.

I own fifteen large caliber screwdrivers and eleven terminal type screwdrivers.

Strange the ref always gets the blame when Utd lose. Not the ineptitude of the players.

I don't know what is worse - the phantom pages - or seeing that the next contribution will be on the final page, only to discover that that page doesn't exist . . .

Why is it that some threads don't have phantom pages?

I think we should be told.

Unusual event today. Had to take Oz daughter to Newark station and followed a tin tent from Louth to Lincoln that kept up with the speed limit all the way. No delays to other traffic, very unusual...

Evening all,
another hot summer's day well above 34 deg C., and still 25 as I am writing.

Might have another Weizen beer before going to bed...

My preferred choice of beer.

Today I was drinking 'flat' (intentionally) draught cider that gets shipped from Somerset.
The recipients get it for 1.30 a pint (delivered) but I paid 3.00 at a charity event.

Based on todays performance, if Depay is valued at 25million then Shelvey must be worth 100million.

One for you Mr Draper - Barton aqueduct on the Manchester Ship Canal. Date unknown but probably shortly after it opened. Note the width of the barge/boat.

Good morning all from a wet Salford, as it's Bank Holiday Monday. Woke at 0415, and tried to get back to sleep. Phone went at 6am from Taiwan a guy wanting a password. Hardly any English so took 5 mins to figure out which system.

Note the width of the barge/boat
Think the woman driving wouldn't like to be called a barge, her hips don't look too bad!! Still she is a scouser.
Nice piccie though.
