Was the cat inside the wing (sort of looks that way)? Which would make it far less of a fright than if the cat was on top of the wing (which is what I thought when I first spotted it).

It seems to take his pax a good minute to realize what the pilot is telling her.

Cue the intervening "Is that your pussy I can see???" subtitles!

Back in the bad old days, about 1955, there was a St Louis newspaper story of an Ozark airlines DC-3 which was delayed when they found a mouse nest when an access point in the wing was opened.

Jeez...................

The SkyRanger has open control cables all over the place, IIRC. If the cat had fouled the cables and caused an accident I bet the accident investigation report would have made interesting reading.

This would have been a more efficient way of flying a cat:

I think my old instructor would have a bit to say about the pilot's scan and lookout techniques in the earlier stages of the flight .....

I'd be a bit worried if he was in the airspace I use .....

Unfortunately it was all on film, so the cat is now out of the bag.

By the way, is it me or did kitty rather seem to be enjoying itself? Hopefully it didn't catch cold.

Given the fabric sleeve covering of the SkyRanger I'm frankly a bit amazed that the cat wasn't spotted sitting inside the wing during the walk around. Even a small cat would make a noticeable dent in the underside wing fabric, I'd have thought, plus you can virtually see through the wings of a SkyRanger when it's on the ground, as they are only bits of tube with stretched Dacron over them.

Cat-ch me if you can

First case of wing-walking cat, or catwalk...

To paraphrase Top Gun, "you can be my wing-cat any time!"
