90. Since "Truth is beauty, and beauty truth," they look at each other with a shock of mutual recognition.

Unhappy

15 Benhazir Butto

First female elected as head of state to be killed in office?
Indira Ghandi preceded Benhazir Bhutto by quite a few years in that distinction.

I can't believe that 93 is there still and I can answer, Freddie, Queen, possibly his last recording, certainly does not look good in the video if I'm right.

OK, I will revise my answer. BB is the only one I have chatted with frequently. Not sure fox had that in mind though...

All latest answers are correct and have been added.

I thought Wings folded was close enough with assassinated. Though not the first, it counts for OOO in that group. We all hate waiting for the results, don't we?!

Wodrick - It was a very hot day! I was at the final concert, and was struck by the pathos with which he sang it. I left in no doubt he was dying. Very sad, but a magnificent performance. Many of the crowd were bikers who had come to see the reformed Quo, but I think everyone left Queen fans also.

Three-quarters done - and I reckon there's several guessable ones left.

If all else fails....and you've tried hitting it with the biggest hammer you own, screaming blue murder, prayer, and threats of extreme violence...read the instructions

Just in...Pigboat's entry via email
I missed all the easy stuff, here's a couple,

55..Jim Mollison
First to fly solo across the Atlantic E>>W. Landed in New Brunswick.
56..Beryl Markham
First woman to fly solo across the Atlantic E>>W. Landed on the Cape.
Oops. Do I get banned for posting from someone who is banned?...we'll see!
If you never hear from me again, Courtney Mil can have my flying boots and CharlieGolf my stereo.

The bolded part is INCORRECT.
Double incorrect as Charlie Watts was, and still is, the drummer.

I think the other double land locked nation is Uzbekistan, unless the Caspian Sea is criteria for not being land locked.

56. Beryl Markham was the first person to fly the North Atlantic solo from England (RAF Abingdon) to North America (Cape Breton, Nova Scotia). No one, male or female, had flown that route from East to West before her flight in September 1936. Jim Mollison's flight started from Ireland, not England.

Uzbekistan it is.
You are of course correct about Beryl Markham. Her autobiography 'West with the Night' is very good, and also has a lot about the 'Out of Africa' (Isak Dinesen, etc) Set, where she used to train racehorses. Depends what counts as the Atlantic. England is no more mainland Europe than Ireland, and as any Cape Bretoner will tell you (and I know a couple), the 'mainlanders' are a funny lot.

Patricia (or Delicia ) is a very fine song, I think his best.

Youssou N'Dour- close enough
Not Patti Smith though, marvellous song that 'Because the Night' is.
There is a hint to the band's name in the last line of #71
