I thought that was Swanwick's annual 3-dimensional noughts and crosses championships.
They were playing that over south Gloucestershire yesterday lunchtime, too.

That would be the county heats ready for the national finals!

A slight thread drift I happened on an episode of Hanger 1 while I was having lunch. The premise of the show was that a manual for UFO retrieval had been found. Fair enough the military have manuals for every thing else so why not that. What really shot the fox for me was that a UFO supposedly found in Kingman Arizona was to be shipped to Area 51. To this effect it was put on a tank transporter. This is where it all goes a bit Dads Army, they get half way there and discover that they can't cross the Hover dam as the transporter weighs too much. So they decide to put the transporter onto a barge and ferry it across the river. Now this is the bit that puzzled me they showed that the crossing was to be below the dam using guide ropes, but in the same way as the colonels horse in Dads army, the rope broke and the barge drifted off and crashed into the dam? Firstly now you would think Uncle Sams finest would have spotted the dam before setting off and found another route and secondly surely the Colorado flows away from the Dam not towards it. Apparently this event confirmed the story of the UFO crash.

No chance to raise the subject to get feedback, alas. I think I'm being avoided...

PS: I also see this thread has been moved to Jet Blast, presumably by the Supreme Master(s). I might have to get the alfoil out too...

As I have said before - be grateful that these nutters exist as it is proof that there are people dumber and more neurotic than yourself!

What never fails to get me is that apparently sane and rational people believe in this stuff. A regular to my shop, always well spoken, articulate and seemingly intelligent, suddenly took me aback one day when in the middle of a sensible conversation he mentioned how chemtrails and the HAARP project were causing so much damage etc.

I was stunned, as up to then I only thought it was raving loonies who actually advocated such ideas. Talk about 'they walk among us'.

I think that the fact that 'comments are turned off' says it all, doesn't it?

Andy RR,

I think the response for her depends on an important variable:

Is she hot? Comforting her in a time of global conspiracy and planetary unrest could be a worthy effort.

If not, tell her to buzz off and not interfere with our livelihoods' working for the reptilian illuminati.

There have been numerous social occasions whereupon learning of my vocation, the conversation drifts into questions about chemtrails. The people are often ordinary, otherwise sane-seeming folks.

The best answer I have come up with that seems to work is my default anti-conspiracy response: There are too many people involved for such a thing to remain secret. From the flight deck crew, to ground support personnel, and maintenance engineers, somebody eventually would spill the beans because people love to talk.

Good luck with your friend!

These Green tree huggers should get real,

Nothing better that the aroma of the vapours from 100 Octane,.... or that super sexy mesmerising sniff of hot "Castrol R" accompanied by that faint whiff of burnt and tortured rubber, but of course these are all naturally occurring products found in " good ol mother earth " so they cannot be bad for us..?
