Hempy, by policies, what do you mean? Are you referring to how laws are made?

I'm referring to how Trump plans to pass laws through the house when half of his own 'party' doesn't want anything to do with him.

That's what protects us from all high minded presidents, and is not unique to this election.

I don't mind the preaching to the public, but I do mind their decrees. Just give me more state's rights where I can move my residency.

At least Trump thinks the way to pass laws is via the legislature. Our current president has never bothered with that pesky route.

And though I hate to say it, the former Clinton also believed in cajoling Congress in order to get his way. Whether the next Clinton will follow one predecessor or the other remains to be seen.

Your understanding of how things work is a wee bit flawed. Do a little studying about who passes laws.

My understanding is that before bills become law in the US they need to be passed by the house, the senate, and the president.

Please correct my misguided knowledge West Coast.

Hempy,

Hint: Congress passes the laws and what Trump or Clinton proposes matters little to the members or either party. Congress passed the "sue the terrorists" bill, BO vetoed and his party joined the Republicans to override in both house. We are NOT a parliamentary system, thanks be to the Heavens.

That's all well and good. Tell me how it will go the other way around?

Or do you think the Democrats will back a Trump bill? Half the Republicans won't, so where will the votes come from?

Even if he gets in he'll be a lame duck from day one, given the way he's already disenfranchised his own party.

I'm saying the laws, as Trump or Clinton, propose must pass Congress and if they don't like 'em they won't be presented to the President. You are the one that stated "Trump plans to pass" which is factually in error--Trump can't pass any law. And he can't make his party pass it, either.

As I said. Lame duck.

Hempy's quote,

Trump is a vile, disgusting, mysoginistic, disgraceful individual
How do you square that statement with the lyrics of Beyonce's recent "song" praised by Obama?

Paparazzi, catch my fly, and my cocky fresh
I’m so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress (stylin’)
Oh yeah, baby, oh yeah I, ohhhhh, oh, yes, I like that
I did not come to play with you hoes, haha
I came to slay, bitch
When he **** me good I take his ass to Red Lobster, cause I slay
If he hit it right, I might take him on a flight on my chopper, cause I slay
Drop him off at the mall, let him buy some J’s, let him shop up, cause I slay
I might get your song played on the radio station, cause I slay
Or Obama's, and the Clinton's fave rapper, Jay Z, another authentic thug who supports Clinton:

You know I thug em, **** em, love em, leave em
Cause I don’t ****in need em
Take em out the hood, keep em lookin good
But I don’t ****in feed em
First time they fuss I’m breezin
Talkin bout, “What’s the reasons?”
I’m a pimp in every sense of the word, bitch
Better trust than believe em
In the cut where I keep em
til I need a nut, til I need to beat the guts
Then it’s, beep beep and I’m pickin em up
Let em play with the dick in the truck
Many chicks wanna put Jigga fist in cuffs
Divorce him and split his bucks
Just because you got good head, I’m a break bread
so you can be livin it up? Shit I
parts with nothin, y’all be frontin
Me give my heart to a woman?
Not for nothin, never happen.
Your comment about Trump being "vile, disgusting, mysoginistic" should apply to the current Democrats who also love filth of society when that filth is supporting them. This whole outrage thing is so phony!

Mind you, I don't support any of it, as all the pop culture is giant part of the problem.

"Plans" don't mean nothing in the US, as opposed to in a parliamentary system. If Corbyn became PM, his plans would actually mean that Queen was going to read it on opening day and likely the silliness would become law.

You'll have to ask my daughters about Beyonce or JayZ. My car radio is permanently tumed to sports radio (SEN).

I did see a video of Robert de Niro launching a scathing attack on Trump, but I assume it's equally irrelevant.

And that's the glory of our system, it was designed to prevent government from happening too much.

If you hold that opinion, why do you not have an opinion of the vile, disgusting misogynistic language of those held in high regard by the Dems? You seem to condemn Trump, but not Obama or Clinton. Hypocrisy isn't just for Republicans, you know. De Niro is very much a "do as I say, not as I do" kinda guy.

Not that silly game of soccer girls play here I hope.

The funny thing is that neither Beyonce, JayZ or de Niro are running for the office of President of the United States of America. Donald Trump is, so is Hillary Clinton (as well as a couple of other also-rans).

I couldn't care less what Jayz or Bob have to say, it's irrelevant.

I have certainly heard what Trump has had to say, and that's not irrelevant.

I can only imagine your uproar if Hillary had been caught on tape talking about 'grabbing men by the cock'....

But we both know that she wouldn't lower herself to that disgraceful standard. Unlike Trump.

Actually she is on record using disgusting foul language. You just have to look harder, as her media pals don't like it.

Hillary is sending the attack dogs after protesters now?

"I do hope somebody follows that gentleman out and stages an intervention."
Clinton suggests intervention for protester wearing Bill Clinton 'rape' shirt | Washington Examiner

The demonstrator, and African-American male, was wearing a shirt featuring a likeness of Bill Clinton with the word "RAPE" printed across the front.
So if this chap gets the shitkickedouttahim, does she then scream "wait, black lives matter?"

A big chunk of Trump's supporters prefer the alpha chimp to the schoolmarm.

They're sticking with him. There's a bunch of GOP voters who will be staying home and that number bodes to increase if/when other tapes come out. Anonymous may get on the job, but the Russians will take a pass

The next president will be the one who attracts and/or retains the votes of the undecideds who've come over since the first debate.

Trump so far is not attracting voters beyond his base.

Clinton with her "deplorables" remark has ensured that Trump's base will stick with him.

Trump's supporters have largely been left behind by the economy. Bernie could have taken some of those from Trump, but there's not quite enough of them to win this election.

Come 2020, these folks will be there for the taking unless Clinton (80+% probability) starts making America work for them.

Trump claimed Warren buffet carried forward tax deductible losses like he himself does lastnight in order to avoid paying federal income tax. Buffet published his tax returns for last year (despite him being under audit) showing he paid over 4 million dollars in tax, minus charitable deductions of over 3 million dollars. Buffet actually donated well in excess of 2 billion dollars to charity last year. What a nice fella
