Finding the evidence of god starts with an open heart and inquiring spirit.
You probably think I am being facetious but I GENUINELY do not understand what you mean by "open heart and inquiring spirit". Do you mean an "open mind and inquiring disposition"?
Basically do like many scientists do and ASSUME the proposition that god exists is true.
I know of no scientist who assumes that proposition - there may be some but I have never met one.
if any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
Again I genuinely do not understand what that means - I was sort of following up to the word "God" then it lost comprehensibility. Let me translate into what I think this means:
"If anybody really tries he will understand the doctrines of God, or himself" is that right?
If so I have been there, done that and ended up with the latter part - I think I understand myself reasonably well but not "the doctrines of God"
