Mr Cavourting, haven't you cocked your gun a bit too early? It's the 23rd in the UK and I'm sure that the Aussies don't get giddy until the 25th, unlike the Teutons and other assorted Europeans who get going on the 24th around 6pm.

I like the poster btw

I don't have anything suitable to add except to say that I hope all fellow PPruners will have a very Merry and politically incorrect Christmas!

My favourites are the preceding two posts BTW.

Trip Advisor - "Galilee Inn, Bethlehem"
"Appalling Service"
One star (in the East)

Despite booking a room months in advance (it's always busy around Saturnalia), when we arrived after our long journey, we were told that the inn was overbooked and they had given our room to someone else.
I showed the manager the tablet with our reservation, but he said that it was no good. Although we were exhausted and my wife was about to give birth, the best he could suggest was to sleep round the back in the stable with the animals.
Great - awful smell and no minibar! And all night we were disturbed by drunk guests dressed as shepherds and kings who were so desperate to see the baby that we couldn't get him to sleep.
I cannot recommend Bethlehem as a destination at this time of year.

Joseph, Nazareth.

This is the way my Christmas is going so far.

But, a gallon of gas (petrol) here is $1.78 now, a nice Christmas present for me.
