I don't trust NK's aiming capabilities.
Actually surprised one hasn't gone "Return to Sender" yet.

At least one must admit that Senator Graham is dropping the effete phraseology so often used in this situation and speaking openly. Does not mean one must like it or agree with it, but open it is: https://www.theatlantic.com/internat...-korea/535578/

Every government of standing has its good cop/bad cop routine and often uses the rank and file parlementarians to float ideas and send messages, but this does seem rather strong and on purpose.

Lindsay Graham is just a single voice in all this. Not a policy maker and not fully in the know.

The North Korean issue gets decided by consortiums that may not include all countries, including those who stand to gain from the status quo.

It's easy to predict resulting death and destruction, but not easy to avoid all risks.

Lomapaseo

Perhaps you missed my point in which I referred, perhaps obliquely, to Mr. Graham as a parlementarian and thus not responsible for policy per se.

I did just read that the single employee left at your State Department, Secretary Tillerson, is doing some good cop routine on this.

Many ways to send out messages and whether he holds a policy portfolio or not, Mr. Graham is a vessel for sending a specific one. One of many and that the Russians, Chinese, and good friends of John Hill are undoubtedly beavering away to decode at this very moment.

Graham is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and is "In The Know" more than you think.
Trump is the policy maker, but we are still waiting for him to have a policy...

Those truly in the know don't babbled about what is said

The UN Security Council have voted unanimously to impose further sanctions on NK. I believe this time it's exports to the tune of US$1billion annually.

The unanimous vote means China agreed.

I'd believe China's sincerity more if they simply closed their border with NK.

The latest warnings

Would they be happy if the U.S. paid 847 times instead of "thousands?"

Some news reports indicating N.K. has succeeded in miniaturizing nuclear weapons enabling missile payloads.
Trump has reacted from the golf course -
"They had better not make any more threats towards the USA or they will be met with Fire and Fury and frankly Power like the world has never seen before."
Markets are down somewhat.

What a complete and utter ****wit...............

That'll calm the fat one down, for sure. It definitely won't reinforce the fat one's view that the USA is out to nuke them, will it?

No, but nothing else has.
FatOneIll will only be satisfied when the US pulls out of S.Korea and the S.Korean army stands down so he can walk in. Then he will look for someone else to threaten.
Sanity in this affair went out the window long ago.

I actually had to do a bit of a double take when Trump said that - thought for a minute it came WunBadHaircut in N. Korea.
