I'm sure John would be welcomed to live in NK as a defender of the people's leader.

Curious why he stays in NZ? Must be the Starbucks and McDonalds.

Why is it that people who disagree with what John Hill has to say attack John Hill personally and not what John Hill has to say?

It reminds me of puerile kindergarten arguments.

At least take it to high-school, learn to actually debate.

Hempy, a Delphic utterance is one that is ambiguous and/or obscure. John's utterances are of that nature, starting with "Who started the Korean War?"

As utterances go, that is a question, not a statement, but John worked it to show that there was no reasonable answer such as history gives, that it was North Korea who started that war.

It was not that he was saying that North Korea had not started that war, just that all the evidence he turned up showed that it had not.

We went around and around on this one, with John retreating into silence and then returning to ask the same questions, as though nobody had given him any answers. He had nothing much to say; there was nothing to get hold of that way!

This was some sort of master class in trolling, when the question then becomes "Why?" Who does this sort of thing, and why?

You try debating this guy, Hempy. See how far you get even trying to figure out what John Hill is saying, what he stands behind. Meanwhile, I shall go make some popcorn ....

Yes, the next bat shit crazy person to enter NK with the intent of bringing religion, democracy, or whatever should be left to rot there.
I am sure you do not really mean that West Coast.

Short of a legitimate NGO or legitimate contractor, then yes I do. If you go there and find yourself in deep kimchi because you trot out a bible, talk against the fat wun or any other provocation, you deserve what you get.

I see you have reduced the scope somewhat, what about those 'spreading democracy'? Also, WTH is a ' legitimate contractor'?

If John Hill rode into NK on his high horse proclaiming the NZ model is what NK needs, if John Smith from the USA, if Holi Phuk from SK does the same, they deserve what the NK govt deems is their punishment. Not because its just, but because they should have known what was awaiting them.

Takes one to know one? Find the country and its people most agreeable, as with all the people/countries I've visited, of course all have their share of disagreeables. The most disagreeable people I personally find are the Walts, professing to have military service.

Nope, they were not permitted to expose their aircraft to hazardous situations, as exemplified by the Long Tan debacle where they refused to go to the troops aid. Took Cliff Dohle (and his co-pilot tried to talk him out of it) to take the bit between his teeth, despite orders, to get the job done. Little wonder the Army gained control of the helos.

Ok then so you weren't 9 Sqn.

That leaves RANHF-VN. Go for it.

That'll pretty much take care of claiming the moral high ground. Cutting down on the Cholesterol, so no fries, more fish and salads.
