When the majority of South Koreans believe that trump is a bigger threat to their safety and security than the leader of NK then I would be tweeting a lot less BS for a start

A compelling argument for the moment!

However, that elephant in the north is going to cast a much bigger shadow as soon as his military is ready with nuclear weapons.

Trump is simply anticipating the progression and trying to stop it before it costs many more millions of lives when it comes out of its womb.

Can someone tell me, preferably one of the Chicken Littles, why the nuclear war hasn't happened yet? A month or so ago, it seems a lot of panties were in a bunch over the noise coming out (on schedule) to coincide with the annual US/SK mil exercises.

Anyone? Do I need to duck and cover?

LW, I am not sure how many of the posters here fall into the distaff column so therefore I am not sure if there were any actual undergarment malfunctions.

It could be however, that the slow, deliberate, and even boring slog of front and back channel diplomacy, linked with shows of force, could be doing what it has done for millennia and that is slowly move the ball forward. This of course is what all rational observers wish for--that alliances are working the way they should and non-allies are focusing on this problem even if disagreeing on larger scale issues.

Or is could be the pudgy one is dealing with problems at his test site. Hard to say.

I still say that having to unpack and unwind every utterance of the Fat One and the tweets of your POTUS does get a bit trying though and a certain amount of fear of things going off the rails is understandable.

An interesting take from the Japan Times regarding tactical nukes in SK. https://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion.../#.WgZbBvxOmf1

I envy your mastery of the subject West Coast. I have to read to catch up as there always seems to be a lot I don't know about the topic.

The NK guards who failed to kill him have probably suffered a worse fate.

Caution - aviation content . . .

Kim Jong-un's lavish 150 million airport meant to turn North Korea into tourist hub is sitting EMPTY satellite photos show.

Sounds as if a line has been crossed from where disagreement with policy has turned into a threat of bodily harm. Is this not the point at which the Secret Service steps in to investigate? Will they be shortly despatched to the Hermit Kingdom to track this down? Would be interesting to see what they unearth in the Pyongyang propaganda farms.

Pot, Kettle: You're stoopid and fat and your country sponsors terrorism.

Kettle, Pot: You're old and stoopid and your country sponsors terrorism. (And you need to loose weight)

There. That's settled then. I hope they're both glad now they've got that off their chests.
