Afternoon, a pleasant morning, but I was well busy hence lateness.

Certainly did not get a visit from the IFs last night, I had an excellent kip.

juud, lovely articulation about this amazing thread. There's something missing from my day if I don't check in with my virtual friends.

Re age, who is the youngest regular here? I do reckon it could be our own hostess with the mostest. Any other contenders? I'm out of it at 57.

For MagnusP

.....did you get the Lardo from the esteemed V&C on Leith Walk? (He said carefully avoiding advertising)

Rossian, I did indeed, along with a heap of mortadella, now all consumed. There's a small piece of taleggio left, then it's time for another visit. MrsP is a particular fan of their own label prosecco.

Angels-I think the youngest, as far as I can tell, is Octo. Although, if she keeps up her world pub crawl, she may catch us all up, liver wise. You go girl

Juud-SSK, yes that's the one-thanks

There's a power station half way down an approach to Hamburg. You can see the stain in the clouds from miles away.

chappie in Belgium (not Hellsbrink) who used to row (boat not argue).
Hellsbrink was banned, don't think he ever came back. You mean the SSK I think. Retired to France, hasn't posted for a while but was presumed to be lurking a few days ago.

Angel

Well I suspect that the IF will keep well out of my way tonight as well.
I was staring kidney dialysis in the face as my kidney function has been on the way down quite dramatically over the last 6 months. The last test results 4 weeks ago put me in the Severely Damaged grade and preparing for Endstage Renal Failure.

I've just got my latest results back and the old kidneys have got their act together having improved quite significantly taking me back to Moderately Damaged grading. Next blood test 6 months.

Nasty and cloudy here, with a sprinking of 'heavy drizzle' earlier and more to come later.

So why am I smiling (I don't hear you ask).

Because didn't leave my lawns until today, I cut them yesterday. And I can now lean back and gaze out at the SHORT grass.

Mr. D. Most of the time I DO grow moss. Just not deliberately.

Then perhaps you should encourage the moss and get shot of the grass, thought that up at Nephews new gaff, the patches of moss on his lawn(one uses that word in its loosest sense here)looked better than the grass.

Silt-shovelling finished for the day. I must have cold because a walker on the tow-path "commented" about the stench and I couldn't smell a thing. Mrs 4ma is obviously in better fettle than myself - she threw me overalls straight into the washing machine.

I'm not surprised the SSK hasn't posted of late - after all, he is the Seldom Seen Kid. Hellsbrink is quite active over on Arrse - as a quick look at the MH17 thread (amongst others) will show.

Anyone seen or heard anything of ExSim and his good lady TechChick? Last I saw was a few years ago on the other site round the corner; they were in process of starting a bacon-salt business.

What about Tinpis? And Flower?
