Am I missing something? How to quote text in a reply.

1/ Highlight desired text and copy.
2/ Punch REPLY
3/ When window opens, click little page in the bubble icon
4/ When two words appear (quote) place cursor right in between them - dead centre.
5/ Paste right there.
6/ Copied text will now be between the two words "quote"
7/ Click "Submit reply"

Mr D

Hmmm, not working for me now telling me message to short again
Perhaps that is because you usually post much longer posts and so "it's" not used to your short posts ?

Only joking - sorry Mr D Sir. Am off now to read how my favorite football team won and how my most disliked team lost

Just put a line of full stops, go to the colour change option and change them to the same colour as the back ground!

I believe that you can't just quote someone. You also have to say something yourself (in addition to the quote) that is at least 10 (?) characters long.

Had to add this sentence before it would let me post the quote above. With just the quote I got the same "message too short" stuff.

Ah perhaps it worked for me that time because I copied from my own post?

Yup that's it
"Seems a bit daft surely one would usually wish to comment after the quoted text think I'll do what I have always done just add quotation marks to someone else text I have copied to my post"
Like that
That Mr Davaars only been back a day and look at the trouble he's caused

How can a person be completely wiped out just by watching other folk beating the hell out of each other in a rugby match ?

A very kind person in the watering hole bought me a fig and walnut loaf while she was in Marx and Sponsers as she knew I was particularly partial to it.
Slices of the divine bread slavered in butter have gone down extremely well for supper.

It's all the Americans fault

A certain Mr John Hill who posts on here will just love this blog about that missing 777

http://cangurel82.********.co.uk/201...-in-diego.html

A new report circulating in the Kremlin prepared by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (GRU) states that Aerospace Defence Forces (VKO) experts remain “puzzled” as to why the United States Navy captured and then diverted a Malaysia Airlines civilian aircraft from its intended flight-path to their vast and highly-secretive Indian Ocean base located on the Diego Garcia atoll.

This report says, was that Flight 370 was already under GRU “surveillance” after it received a “highly suspicious” cargo load that had been traced to the Indian Ocean nation Republic of Seychelles, and where it had previously been aboard the US-flagged container ship MV Maersk Alabama.

What first aroused GRU suspicions regarding the MV Maersk Alabama, this report continues, was that within 24-hours of off-loading this “highly suspicious” cargo load bound for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, the two highly-trained US Navy Seals assigned to protect it, Mark Daniel Kennedy, 43, and Jeffrey Keith Reynolds, 44, were found dead under “suspicious circumstances.”

Upon GRU “assests” confirming that this “highly suspicious” cargo was aboard Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 on 8 March, this report notes, Moscow notified China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS) of their concerns and received “assurances” that “all measures” would be taken as to ascertain what was being kept so hidden when this aircraft entered into their airspace.

Prior to entering the People Liberation Army (PLA) protected zones of the South China Sea known as the Spratly Islands, this report continues, Flight 370 “significantly deviated” from its flight course and was tracked by VKO satellites and radar flying into the Indian Ocean region and completing its nearly 3,447 kilometer (2,142 miles) flight to Diego Garcia.

Critical to note about Flight 370’s flight deviation, GRU experts in this report say, was that it occurred during the same time period that all of the Spratly Island mobile phone communications operated by China Mobile were being jammed.

Haven't looked on R&N to see if it has been posted on there yet - not brave enough

Quote / highlight function
except that ........ mine suddenly stopped working, so I sought the help of the Computer and Internet thread, and discovered that because I had recently installed Adblock, to stop some of those pesky "pop-up" ads. that had also disabled my Quote button.

Disabled Adblock and my Quote bubble works again, so now I have a choice to make ....... do I want a working Quote button, or no ads. seems I can't have both ?

Why is Life so difficult ?
